"Um..Anthony. Before you walk in, we need to tell you something. Since you've been in prison, Rose has been staying with us." My mom said .
"She's in the backroom. I doubt she'll come out. I'm just giving a heads up."
I didn't say anything at all. I just gave a blank stare. Of course I didn't like that fact she was here, but the least I could do was tuck in my irritation.
When we walked in I smelled the unique fragrance of my mother's house. Rhino was barking and jumping on me with joy.
"Hey little guy." I said as I petted him.
"Hey Ant, do you want me to grab you anything to eat? I'm going the Wendy's." Asked Aaliyah . "Nah I'm good. I'd rather save my appetite for whatever moms gonna make."
"I think you're out of luck with that one." Said my mom.
"I thought you loved me?" I said.
"...I dooo.." She said. "But not enough to make you anything."
"See you never care." I complained.
"Shut up. Anyways your clothes are on that chair along with a towel. I figured you might want to relax on your first day back into society." Said mother.
I grabbed my clothes and went into the bathroom.
