This shower never felt any better. The water was hot and steamy and the soap smelled nice and I enjoyed not being timed or being watched by other grown men.
When I got out I combed my hair and got dressed.
"Anthony." Called my mother from down the hallway, "I have a surprise for you. Get in the car."
Oh great now what?
I got into the car with my mom on the way to see my "surprise".
"Anthony, I need to ask you something. Are you willing to be in this babies life?"

"Mom ...honestly ...no." I said. "Maybe I would if it didn't come from Rose..but I just can't get over what she did."

"How do you even know what she really did was true?" She asked.

"Mom because Devon would never lie to me. We've been friends ever since elementary."

"Anthony, how long you've known someone doesn't matter. People change and people aren't always who you think they are. People lie and people are fake. Just remember that. Just like your father. He promised me everything and look where that led to. He left me alone with you and your sister without a warning." She said.

What she was saying really got to me. My dad left us without a problem and I could never forgive him.

"Just imagine your child wondering why their father isn't in their life just because of its mother? Do you know how cruel that sounds? Please don't be your father. That what hurt me the most. I'm not trying to control you or tell you how to live your life, but I'm just going to tell you right from wrong.
I love you Anthony and I want you to only make good choices after what you've done."
