Chapter Five

It was a week since I have that nightmare. And that night I couldn't fall back to sleep, so I stay most of the night trying to figure out a way to fall back to sleep or doing something else or went on my phone to pass the time. When Thursday came I didn't go to school that day because I was so tired that I might not keep up in school, so I decide to stay knowing that I might have almost lot of homework to do, but I didn't only about three so that was good. And I never had a chance to talk to Alex. I try calling and sending him a text message but never replied back to me and didn't want to house because I had to work and trying to my homework when I miss that day.

It was almost Halloween in a few days. This year I'm not going to dress up, I'm probably going to hand out candy to the kids. Just two days ago Brooke ask me what I'm going to be and I tell her I'm doing it this year and she kind of got defend by my answer. But she tries to persuade me too. It didn't work. So, her another way by asking if I would come down and walk around with her little brother and cousin to help out. I tell I might but I have to see what I'm doing that day because I might be working on that day. On my work schedule it didn't show I'll be working but it changes if they someone to help or call out sick that day. But I hope I don't work on that day because I want to hang out with her and probably Carly if she also doesn't work. Carly works at the baklava shop. It's a bakery shop.

Today I'm hanging out with Brooke and probably Carly, she says she'll try to make it and if she can't she'll send a text message to one of us. We're all going to the outlet mall looking around and have some girl day out. Few minutes have pass and Carly has just text Brooke letting her know she'll be here in minutes and then we will be headed out, once she gets to my house, that where we're meeting and only taking one car, that be Brooke because her is little bit roomy then Carly and mine.

We went to the outlet mall and the first thing they be looking at clothes at jcpenny. They were looking at the outfit. I was wondering around looking at things while their two just talk away. Brooke was telling Carly about this new guy that she just started dating and she didn't tell me about him I just have to hear it from Carly that one day. I figure I wait she'll talk to me about but not yet until she knows for sure. After jcpenny we went to the shoe department. But before we went to the shoe, I got a couple of shirts, pants, skirts, and scarves of them.

After few more store we went out to eat after shopping for so long. They decide to go to Culver's near Walgreen, but I don't care where we go out to eat, at least I rest for while after standing and walking around. Brooke orders a crispy chicken sandwich. Carly orders the cheddar butter burger with no onion. And I got the grill chicken sandwich. And after lunch we went back to shop little bit more. Brooke and Carly are getting along together after spending some time together. By the time, we got done shopping it was evening as the sun is set. By the time, I got home it was night.

I walk through the front door, to see that my mom is already making dinner and dad probably at work and won't be home until later. I went to my room and put my shopping bags away, I got my phone out and started to text someone when I notice, I have one unread text from someone. I tap on the screen to go see it from Brooke.

Brooke

Hey, I had great time hanging out with you and Carly.

Me

Yeah, me too.

We text for a little bit until she has to go, she says going out but didn't tell me who it was, it's alright. I went to the kitchen to find out what mom has made for dinner and it looks like it's homemade taco. Mom just turns off the stove and looks over the shoulder to see me standing in the doorway.

"Hi, sweetheart. How was your day with your friends?" Mom said.

"Hi, mom. It was great. How was your day?"
