Ch 8 Meetings

I looked up at Fury, currently we were all sitting at a big round ovalish table with a black metal top with steel legs. The room was grey, without much furnishings, but nevermind that. I was sitting with all the avengers, it went first Fury sitting at one end of the table, Tony the knight, Bruce (I couldnt come up with a nickname, but I know his was going to be the best!) Steve the Captian, me, Black Widow the spider, then Thor. It wasn't awkward or anything but we are all sitting on one side of the table. Phil Coulson was standing on the other side of the table and was talking with the projecter or whatever, to tell you the truth I was bored out of my mind. I closed my eyes and put my arms behind my head. For sixteen years old I was very immature. I used to have decent luck. But ya know I was stuck in this life. Even if I did decide to run away I was on a hellicarrier. Even if I found my way down I still had no money. But ya know just the average tenagers life we are talkin about here, right?
"ELIZABETH" Fury thundered, "are you even listening?" I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"Nope." I replied, "but I do know what your talking about." Heh no I didn't, but I could glean all the details from someone. How aboooooooouuut Captain, he was paying attention wasn't he? I closed my eyes as Fury started massaging his temples. I started going into Cap's mind.

"Who are we looking for, Miss Elizabeth?"

Too obvious "Loki." I rooted into his mind and found the 'notes' he had been taking, I traveled into my own mind and opened my eyes. Sorry Stevey. Hehe that's his new nickname, YES! I stared at Fury he thought he was going to have to babysit me, I was short but seriously I'm not a ten year old. "So seriously all we are going to do is watch for him? What happens if we do find him? IF he's planning on taking over earth what if he has his army? It's going to be more than a little difficult to get him."

Fury did nothing short of glare at me "Correct but with our team we will be able to get him." I glanced at everyone around me, we could with something to bring us together we weren't a team, yet.
"So that's the plan, I don't think there's anything else" Coulsan clapped his hands and said. Breaking the awkward(ish) silence "unless director Fury has something to add.." I could practically feel the waves of smirk rolling off him.
Fury stood and put his hands on the table he looked serious, and not fun. Hmphf I don't like people who don't smile. "Elizabeth your an 'avenger'"
I grinned "What was that fury didn't quite catch you there?"
He glared "You have officially been recruited for the avengers team."
I grinned and he walked to the door and opened it, then paused. "We need to work as a team from now on. That means no pissing each other off, we can't afford drama on the battlefield." He walked out and the doors creamed shut. I laughed oh this is rich. Steve looked at me funnily.
"This is now a war Elizabeth what's so funny?"
I grinned once more. "I'm sixteen years old, my parents are dead I know no one and I'm probably going to die fighting against Loki, the horrible karma god and the devil probably worked together to create this fate. But ya know whatever." Steve looked at me, and so did everyone else. "I hate being boring." I said standing up "I'm off to do something." I walked out the door and Tony started following me, I could tell he was trying to be discreet about it, but let's have a little fun, eh? I turned right and jumped up to the ceiling levitating myself. Tony walked beneath me and looked down the hallway.
"Shit I lost her." He swore. I dropped down onto his back. He flinched and almost fell. I laughed and leaned up against the wall crossing my arms. "Got anything fun to do because to be frank I am bored out of my mind." He smiled, you can come to the lab with me, black widow is probably already doing her job. So we should go help Bruce."
I smiled I finally get to do stuff!" I had been stuck in my room. For a few days. "Yes! Let's go!"

We walked into the lab and as Tony had predicted Bruce and Natasha were already there. We walked in and Tony went to a screen and started tapping it. I kinda just stood there for a second before sitting on a stool next to black widow. "So, you can do magic, like Loki?" Natasha asked crossing her arms and looking at me.
"Yeah I think, but I don't use it for bad stuff, like he does." I said "But what does he plan on doing?"
