Chapter 1: The house
I watch as the colors swirl by, the breathtaking blur of blue and green.
As my parents drive me to my new house I know that this new place is going to leave me breathless. I'm always going to be on my feet never stopping, almost as if I was in an eternal dance. We pull to a stop in front of a huge grey house. It looks like one of those haunted houses you always see in horror movies and video games. With the big forbidding door and roof that looms over, it doesn't fit the lush scenery around it.
Lovely. Of all the houses this is the one dad picks?
The bright vibrant rosebush and the beautiful garden wrap around the house, giving Luigi's Haunted Mansion a homey sort of look. I guess it just makes it pop out more. My parents unlock the door while I close the trunk of the jeep. I put my suitcase on the ground and start to roll it towards the door. I turn around and look across the street. I see the swish of a curtain from the upstairs bedroom. Who-"Honey, are you coming in?" My mom asks me. I turn and nod my head.
"Trust me your going to love your bedroom." My dad says excitedly as I walk up the porch.
" I'm sure I will, daddy." I reply back, still bothered by the curtain moving.
My parents are always the type of parents who look on the bright side of things. Like when my dog got hit by a car, they said he was a good little dog and was going to doggy heaven. We have moved more then three times. This being the fourth.
I make my way upstairs touring the place when I notice, that my parents put my name on the door at the end of the hallway. I push open the door and look around. My room is a sunset orange with a huge bed. As I walk further into the room I have a walk in closet and balcony. I guess this house isn't as creepy as I thought. The room sure is nice. I plop down onto the soft duvet of the queen sized bed.
My name is Blossom Lagarde. Yeah. I know what you're thinking. Who names their kid Blossom? Well my parents wanted me to stand out. They could've at least given me a normal name. I stand out anyways. With my 5 ft 11 frame and long ebony hair. I have a very fair complexion with red lips that rest in a knowing smile under a button nose. My brown eyes are filled with gold specks, or at least that's what my parents say.
I get a lot of unwanted attention from some people, which I hate. I look nothing like my parents. Both of my parents are tan and my dad has curly blonde hair while my mom has straight brown hair. Apparently my fair complexion and black hair are genetic, but from my mom's side. I guess she skipped out on that one. They are both really tall and that's the only thing we share.
I'm just an average 16 year old girl who loves sports and the arts. I wear minimal makeup and I dress in sweats and baggy shirts. I wear glasses that I don't need and I guess you can say that I'm a nerd.
I'm the type of girl where I look like a nerd and act like one, but the difference is this is how I choose to be. But that's all going to change this year. I'm sick of the cheerleaders picking on me. I'm sick of being the only girl without a date every Friday and most of all I'm sick of being unpopular. In fact my mom encourages me to go shopping to buy girly stuff I guess it's time to take that advice.

After every thing is set up around the house I go to bed. I have a long day ahead of me.
