Eventually you fell asleep. It took a while and you only got an hours worth of sleep but what made you happy was that you had no dreams and when you were asleep Castiel was not stuck in your mind.

Like the previous morning, you got up, stretched and then went downstairs to make breakfast, this time for four people.

For Dean, you made some pie. For Sam, you made some Salad and for Cas, well you didn't cook anything in particular for Cas. But for yourself, you made some delicious bacon and eggs, which of course the Winchester's could dig into aswell.

You were setting the table when you heard heavy footsteps upstairs which you knew were the boys. Dean emerged first, "Is that bacon I smell?" He said, licking his lips.
"Indeed it is," you chuckled. Dean made his way over to the table and sat down.
"Oh my God, pie? What kind?"
"Apple."
"Oh Y/N you're incredible haha."
You told Dean to dig in as the largest brother came down the stairs. His eyes opened wider then you'd ever seen them as he looked at the table. You told Sam to take a seat as you did the same and you began eating.

After you and the boys had finished breakfast you cleaned the dishes then wiped down the sink. You then went back upstairs to your study that held all the research you had gathered over the years; hunting, businesses and of course your mother.

She'd been gone since you were a child-dead, is what you thought. But over the past seven years she keeps popping back up at mass murders, each one worse than before. It had you thinking every night, why was she there? And did she commit the murders? If she did, then why? You'd kept anything of hers. You'd go to the towns and investigate, you'd ask questions about her and you'd keep everything. Even the suspicions of her sightings.

You stood silently, staring at the wall with your arms folded. Staring intensely at the photos and the marks on the large map that covered the majority of the wall. You were in such concentration that you didn't hear anyone come in.

"Y/N," Cas whispered. You practically jumped out of your skin when you realised you weren't alone.
"Jesus, Cas! You scared the hell out of me!"
"I-I didn't realise hell could be inside someone?" He said questioningly. "But I'm glad I got rid of it." You rolled your eyes at his stupidity but secretly you found it adorable.
"Don't ever sneak up on someone Cas, I could have killed you and that wouldn't have been very nice now would it?!" You began to lecture him only to have the angel sigh. "Ok Ass-tiel, why are you in here, what do you want?"

"It's about your Mother, she's been spotted at a motel not too far from here." You hold your breath for a second. As soon as you breath out again you ask him how far, not wanting the answer as much as you thought you would.
"Around 7miles north." Thats too close, you thought. You started panicking and left the study. You started walking around the house, checking the security and hiding weapons everywhere. You didn't know why but you felt like your mother would be dangerous.

Sam and Dean had left the house about an hour ago after finding a case nearby, leaving you and Cas alone. Castiel starts chasing you as you frantically as you run around the house. He gets extremely tired and decides to stop, as soon as he does you accidentally bump into him and he grabs you by the arms. He looks at you, his face full of concern.

"Y/N, look at me." He said in his gruff voice. Hesitantly, you looked up and stared into his magnificent blue eyes. Tears had been trailing down you face for a while now but when you looked into his angelic eyes, you lost it. Tears would fall one by one at an alarming rate, you cried so much, sobbing and releasing hysterical noises as you cried and cried. Cas didn't really know what to do. He stood there confused and hoping that Sam and/or Dean would be back soon. Another couple minutes had past and they hadn't arrived, so he wrapped his arms around you awkwardly and pulled you into his chest. "I apologise, i'm not very good with human affection. Well, just any affection in general. I'm sorry."

You sniffled once more before the front door opened. Neither you or Cas heard it open.

"Thank you." You mumbled, your face buried in his chest.
"Yo, we're back! Turns out it was just a salt n burn, probably the easiest case we've ever completed haha."
"Dean." Sam nudged his brother and pointed his finger toward you and Cas.
"Uuuhhh, sorry if we interrupted something." Dean said curiously. He got nothing in reply and so went right up to the both of you. He snapped his fingers infront of Castiel.
"Sorry, Dean."
"Is she ok?"
"I'm not sure." Castiel held your shoulders once again and pushed you away slightly so he could see your face to find you fast asleep, tears still staining your cheeks. Dean started to interfere and was about to wake you up but with a simple wave of Cas' hand, Dean stopped and stepped back, allowing you to be carried bridal style by the angel.

He held you tightly, but gently, as he carried you up the stairs. He stared lovingly at your face, wishing that your eyes would open so he could stare into those beautiful eyes of yours. As he arrived at your door you began to wake up.
"C-Cas," you whispered only loud enough so he could here. "Is that you?"
"Yes, Y/N. It's me." He whispered back. He used his foot to gently open the door then close it slightly as you were taken inside. He moved you towards the bed and placed you down gently. Castiel turned and was about to walk away but was stopped in his tracks by only a weak tug on his trench coat. He seemed to sigh in relief before turning back around to face you.
"Cas, please don't go. Please don't leave me." You mumbled. Castiel looked down at you, his eyes carefully scanning your face to see what exactly you wanted from him and to know how you felt. However, he did not succeed.

Your eyes began closing once more and before you fall asleep you whispered one last thing which seemed to do the trick; "Please, Cas. Please." He pulled the blanket from underneath you carefully and placed it over your body, covering everything but your head. He then lay awkwardly on top of the sheets, hoping to comfort you in some way.

And as soon as you felt the bed dip down and the warmth of a body next to you, you allowed the darkness to take over you once more.
