Every person has a point in life when they wish something strange would happen.

For Rebecca it was called a Monday.

She had me troubles imagining things. She claimed to experience them.

Nobody could believe her. She was a crazy little girl.

Only 10 years old, no one could trust her. She wasn't mature. In the present day parents wouldn't mind imagination. When it's 1912 things are different.

Imagination isn't appreciated the same.

Rebecca Jennings was a beautiful girl that lived in Berea, Kentucky. It was a small town. There was one school hose in the center of the town, next to the church.

Everyone in the town knew each other well, and did trading among each other. They would swap crops, animals, and other goods as a living.

Almost all the kids at the the school admired Rebecca's imagination, except for one young girl, Junie Marvel. Her parents own Marvels Market, the only store we have within 20 miles. Every Tuesday a shipment of items would come in.

Rebecca's view:

My ma would sell yarn and berries, and pa would sell crops. They made some money. My pa worked at the mill. He had a big heart, and understood my imagination. My ma on the other hand just ignored my thoughts and hid it from others. She still was pretty and sweet though.

My ma and I walked up to the market from far out of town to sell some berries and get by in life.

"Duck mama!" I yelled from behind.

She dived down and looked over. Nothing was there...... to her.

"Now 'Becca don't be scaring me like that. There is nothing there you hear."

" Yeah mama, I hear Ya'" I mumbled.

"Now let's get to Marvels before they don't want my eggs today." Ma didn't sell eggs much because we could eat those and so many other people sold eggs. But ma had nothing else to give up. Pa was working hard. Even late nights.

"Mama, why don't you like my imagination?" I asked her. It was bold being my mama didn't like asking questions about her not liking this about me or pa.

I got a stern look and a calm answer, " 'Cause you get outta control and over the top."

I shook my head, I knew what she meant.

We finally arrived to Marvels Market. We walked in and bells chimed above us. Mrs. Marvel looked over at us.

" Hello ladies here to sell more items I assume." Dallas was a snobby young hag. She got pregnant young and was shipped away because her parents didn't want her filth around.

" Yeah 'cause they ain't got no money to buy our stuff ma." Junie snickered.

" Now that's enough!!!" Dallas hissed. I wrinkled my nose at her and my ma grabbed my shoulder. She hopped of the counter, grabbed a candy twist from the jar and skipped into the house section.

" I'm sorry," Dallas ensured.

"Its okay." My mama said. She looked down at me and saw my disappointment. I had no money. Just my junkie imagination that was worth nothing... yet.
