Chapter Two

I sit in my kitchen, drinking my morning coffee when Rose enters the room. "Rose, What are you doing here?" I ask and put the mug down.

"I'm here to help the doppelgänger. You and I both know what Klaus is capable of, and if Elijah knew about her, it's not going to take long for Klaus to find out." Rose says and I sigh.

"Look, I've kept the secret of Elena from Klaus and the secret of Klaus from all of them. I don't need you coming in here and messing this up, no offence. Besides, the only reason Elijah knew about her is because you told him." I say, standing up to face her completely.

"Crystal, I know you don't want Klaus to come to town. And I know you fear they won't trust you once they find out that you are all family, but maybe if we leave that part out...and tell them ourselves they won't go looking for the truth and dig up more than what they bargained for." Rose says and I know she's right. I also know she doesn't know enough to blow my secret.

She thinks that the sun and the moon curse is real, that Elijah can be killed, she's agrees to not mention I'm bonded by marriage to Klaus' brother. So really all we are doing is warning them about Nik and what he can do.

"Fine. But how did you get in here with no ring?" I ask. "My car has protected windows. I was just quick to get in here." She states. "Fair enough." I shrug.

"Okay So what is it you want to tell us exactly?" Damon asks as we all walk into the living room.

"I'm here to warn you." Rose says. "And I'm here to make sure she doesn't tell fibs." I smirk, leaning against the fireplace.

"I'll call Elena." Stefan says and walks out. "Okay just so I have a head start, who is this Klaus guy Elena was talking about anyways?" Damon asks.

"He's one of the Original vampires. They are the first set of vampires to ever walk the Earth, Elijah is also one." Rose explains. "But if you're Elijah's sister-." Damon starts.

"In law." I correct, because if I'm just his 'sister', that makes me Klaus' sister also and I don't want to be biologically linked to that sick bastard.

"Sister in law, that must make you an original too." Damon says and I nod. "Yeah, I am." I say. "How come I didn't know about this?" He asks.

"Damon there is a lot of things you don't know, I'm 1000 years old, if I told you everything I know your brain would have a malfunction. I keep everything on a need to know basis." I say and he sighs. "Okay whatever, continue." He says.

We hear a knock on the door so he answers. "Hello Elena." He says. "Stefan here? He called, something urgent?" She asks. I hear Stefan go to the door. "Hey, right this way." He says.

Rose walks out into the hall. "You." Elena says and Rose waves awkwardly. "This way." She guides them back into the living room.

"Crystal, Hey." Elena greets. "What is this about?" Elena asks. "Okay you have to understand I only know what I have picked over the years. I don't know what's true and what's not true, that's the problem with all of this vampire crap. But Klaus, I know, is real." Rose explains - of course I can't correct most things she says as then they would know I know too much. Klaus doesn't know she's alive, so I don't need to fess up yet.

"Who is He?" Elena asks. "An original, he's a legend." Damon says, looking at me. "He's from the first generation of vampires." Stefan elaborates.

"Like Elijah." Elena says. "And me." I say. "But no, I'm an angel and Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus." I say and Elena looks more worried.
