I'm now prepping up. I'm wearing a red lace dress and a pair of black flats. We're going to attend the 10 am mass with the Caracut's
"Venice, hurry up!" mom called kaya agad na din akong nagspray ng cologne at bumaba na
"everything set?" dad asked
I just nodded and we went out. I immediately saw who was standing near the car so I ran to him
"KUYAAAAA" I shouted and hugged him tightly
"hahaha Ven bitaw na, malelate na tayo" sabi ni kuya ng natatawa. Yes, I have an older brother. Siya si Kuya Vai. I didn't see him the whole month kahit sa school. Busy kasi athlete and at the same time graduating
Agad naman kaming sumakay sa van at nagtungo na sa simbahan. Pagkadating namin doon, meron na sina tito. Agad naman kaming lumapit sa kanila. Nagmano ako kina tito at tita
"this is Vai my eldest and unico hijo" pagpapakilala ni dad kay kuya. Nagmano din si kuya
"Nice to meet you Vai. Just call me Tita Lalaine and this is your Tito Noel" sabi ni tita kaya tumango lang si kuya
"This is also my eldest, Andrei and the second born, Yna" pagpapakilala nila tito. Agad naman silang nagmano kina mama. Kuya Vai, kuya Andrei, and Vince started talking animatedly, teammates pala sila. Well, I don't care much kasi hahaha
"I believe you're Venice. Yung magiging fiancee ni Vince?" ate Yna asked
"yes po" I said and smiled
"they were right. You really are pretty" ate Yna said which made me blush
"hindi naman ate" I said
"totoo kaya. Tingnan mo nga yang si Vince oh, natahimik kakatitig sa'yo. Kanina pa yan nagtatanong if he looks good ba and the such" she said and giggled. Agad naman akong napatingin kay Vince and indeed he was looking.
When he noticed us looking at him, he stood up and nakipagbeso sa akin. I was taken aback as ate Yna was smiling broadly, along with our parents and other siblings. What happened?
They made me sit beside Vince kaya tahimik lang akong nakayuko. The priest arrived so the mass started.
After the mass,we then went to the Caracut residence. We had lunch there. Everyone was getting along yet here I am, so silent as if I can't talk.
After eating, I excused myself and went to the garden to catch some air.
I sat on a patio of some sort. I was looking at the whole garden when someone sat in front of me. I looked and saw Vince. He gave me a small smile and I just nodded.
The both of us are silent, feeling the awkward tension surround us.
"Venice" "Vince"
We both said at the same time. I laughed
"Go ahead" I said to him
"Uhm, I was meaning to ask you something" he said
"about what?" I asked
"well, I was wondering if, do you really agree with this whole thing? Don't you have a boyfriend or something?" he asked filled with curiosity
"well, I don't have a boyfriend so what's the point of going against. What about you? Do you have one? I mean a girlfriend" I threw his question back
"None. It's funny how the both of us don't have a choice" he said and looked at nowhere.
I stared at him like he's like a puzzle I find hard to complete
"Well, I guess we just need to accept this fate then" I told him then he looked at me with those deep eyes
"It's funny that we're in this situation. Kaka-18 ko lang ang mage-18 ka pa" sabi niya and shaked his head laughing as if marriage is something funny
"it's funny how we can't choose who we're going to marry" I said, looking at the garden "I've always hoped to feel how it's like to be courted" I added, opening up my inner thoughts
"Well, I guess we can work things out" he said
"I'll make you feel what it's like to be dating" he added
"How?" was the only thing that I answered
"Just like how dating starts. Let's get to know each other better" he said and smiled
"I guess, we better work things out if we're bound to spend eternity together, then" I answered and laughed
"Type in your number. I'll contact you tomorrow. Let's have lunch, g?" he asked
"Lunch? I'm good with that. My vacant is from 11 am to 2 pm"I answered
"Perfect! I just got off my class by that time" He said
"Venice, let's go home na. Hinihintay ka na namin doon" kuya Vai suddenly appeared.
"Okay. Let's go" I answered and stood up. Vince also stood up and came with us to the front porch
"It was a great time. Thank you for having us" mom said and nagbeso sila ni Tita
Nag-goodbye na din ako sa kanila. Ate Yna hugged me while tita Lalaine kissed me on the cheeks. Tito Noel smiled at me and nakipagbeso naman si kuya Andrei. What shocked me the most was when Vince kissed me on the cheek.
After everything, we went in the car and went home
As I got home home, I went directly to my room and did some school work.
At 6, we had dinner silently. Afterwards, I went to my room, nagpunas, prepared my stuffs for tomorrow and laid to bed already, but I can't sleep.
I can still feel Vince's lips against my cheeks. That was very weird. It felt like I was electrocuted
I was shocked when my phone beeped for a text. I checked it and saw that it was from an unknown number. I opened it

so I immediately saved his number
