Brantley:

I was smiling like an idiot, but I couldn't help it. Bella's song.. damn. I had no idea she'd been working on it. I was standing backstage waiting for her to sit back down with the interviewer before coming out. They had called me after Bella confirmed the interview a few months ago, asking if I'd be open to coming on the show as well. I agreed, so here I am, waiting to surprise Bella. Her song hit deep, she basically announced to the entire world, that she picked me. Fuck everyone that tried to stare in our way, she knew we'd be strong enough to make it through anything. I was so damn proud of her. Bella sat back down and the woman started again. "Well there's no doubt who that's about." She grinned. Bella shrugged, "I told you, this one had to be perfect." She said simply. "Speaking of Mr. Perfect, ladies and gentleman, say hello to Brantley Gilbert!" The woman announced me. Bella looked around and spotted me heading her way. A smile broke out across her face, ear to ear. Running towards me, she leaped at me, giggling like she always does. I caught her and never broke my stride, heading to the couch to finish the interview with Bella wrapped around me like a monkey. We sat down, Bella next to me, and waited for the crowd to settle. "Brantley, it's great to have you here." Sheila, the interviewer said. "It's good to be here, what's goin on?" I replied as Bella was all over me. She couldn't stand it anymore and whines until I rigged her into my lap. When I did, she started toying with my necklaces, running her fingers through my beard, running her hand up and down my arm. She had to touch me in some way. It was adorable. "I have to ask..." Sheila started. "When Bella jumped at you, you never even stumbled. Just tugged her up onto your hip and kept walking. Seems like that's not the first time?" She asked. I laughed then. "Hardly. If I'm gone from the house for a couple days, you can bet as soon as this little one knows I'm home, she's flyin at me. It's my favorite part of coming home." I smiled down at Bella, stroking her collar with one long finger. She practically purred, giving me a toothy grin. "Have the two of you faced any opposition from others? Relationship wise, I mean. Aside from the size difference, there's a large age difference between you two." Sheila said. I sighed. "There's definitely been some that were against us. Unfortunately it impacted Bella more than me. I hate that she had to fight against it so much, but I did and will continue to do everything in my power to prevent her from having to do it again. Not many folks will pop off at the mouth when the see me roll through. Bella, however, is known for being a whole lot sweeter than I am." I chuckled and rubbed her back. "We all know what went down with my past manager and label. That was the biggest one. Age never mattered between us. Ever. I'd do it all over again if it meant having Brantley in my life." Bella spoke honestly. "What about your families? What were their reactions?" Sheila asked. "My Momma loves Bella to pieces. From the minute she met her, she claimed her as her own daughter and has loved her since." I smiled softly. "Well..." Bella started then paused. She blinked rapidly. I knew this part would be hard for her. She looked at me, her eyes scared and unsure. "It's alright little one. I'm right here." I cradled her a little closer, and she grabbed onto me tightly. "I don't have any family. Well, I didn't, until Brantley. Now I have him, I have his family. I never knew my father, my mother..." she paused and sniffled. I placed my hand on the back of her neck and squeezed slightly, just for support. "My mother never wanted me. Until I was 7 years old, I lived with her. She always told me that I was a mistake. That no one would ever want me. The state took me, and then I bounced from foster home to foster home until I was 16. I emancipated myself, finished school, and started pursuing my musical career. Until Brantley, I didn't have family." Bella finished quietly, her fingers were knotted in my shirt. But I was so proud of her, she needed to get that out. Sheila looked shocked. Bella absentmindedly grabbed my necklace that had her purity ring on it, and Sheila noticed. "Let's move onto happier times, that ring on Brantley's chain looks a little familiar." She said, easing the interview into lighter territory. Bella smiled gratefully. "I suppose it does." She giggled. "Any chance you'll tell us how you felt about that Bella?" She asked. I knew what Sheila meant. Bella misunderstood. Her cheeks went red as can be, her eyes got big, and she squealed. "Umm... you mean..." Bella questioned. I laughed out loud then. "No baby, she's asking about how you felt, emotionally, leading up to that point." I explained. Bella blew out a breath in relief. "Phew, for a minute there I was worried you'd end up with a network fine. This is daytime tv not Skinamax." She laughed. I shook my head and chuckled. "Well, I guess I felt content mostly. Nervous, sure. Excited. But Brantley never pushed me, he waited until I came to him about it. I was definitely ready, I just needed the right man to trust."Bella explained. "And after?" Sheila asked. "Exhausted." Bella snorted. "Really though, I felt like I was home. I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be." She smiled at me. I cradled her face in my palm and kissed her softly. The audience hooted wildly. When we broke the kiss, Sheila spoke again. "If I'm not mistaken, you've got a song up your sleeve as well Brantley?" She asked. "Sure do." I grinned darkly at Bella, she sucked in a quick breath. She knew that look all too well. I made my way to the stage, grabbed the mic, and looked at Bella. I smirked and chuckled. Figured my eyes had already gotten darker. "Uh oh.." Bella purred. "What?" Sheila asked. "I know that look..." she grinned excitedly as the music started.

Hey girl, you know what you've been missing?
Me, me, yeah
Hey girl, whoever you've been kissing
It ain't me, me
I got that love medicinal
I'll make you feel invincible
I'm more than recreational
I'm what you need

I'll be your smooth ride, that late night, your Walter White high
I'll be your first time, that's so right
Get you falling in love at the end of the night
With that good shit, that long trick, that sugar on your lips
That favorite habit, gotta have it, you can't quit
I got your fix

I'll be the high that never lets you down (I got your fix)
The one you crave when no one is around (I got your fix)
I'll pick you up and never let you go (I got your fix)
Never let you go, hey hey

Hey girl, he don't get you there never
So leave, oh just leave
Listen, baby baby baby baby girl
Let me make it feel better
Please, please, please, please
I'm what you need

I'll be your smooth ride, that late night, your Walter White high
I'll be your first time, that's so right
Get you falling in love at the end of the night
With that good shit, that long trick, that sugar on your lips
That favorite habit, gotta have it, you can't quit
I got your fix

I'll be the high that never lets you down (that never lets you down)
The one you crave when no one is around (when no one is around)
I'll pick you up and never let you go (I got your fix)
Never let you go

Yeah, come on baby, yeah, oh oh oh
I'll be the high that never lets you down
The one you crave when no one is around

I'll be your smooth ride, that late night, your Walter White high
I'll be your first time, that's so right
Get you falling in love at the end of the night
With that good shit, that long trick, that sugar on your lips
That favorite habit, gotta have it, you can't quit
I got your fix

I'll be the high that never lets you down (that never lets you down)
The one you crave when no one is around (when no one is around)
I'll pick you up and never let you go (I got your fix)
Never let you go

I finished the song and the crowd went crazy. Bella was blushing, nodding her head rapidly. Even Sheila's cheeks were pink. I walked off the stage, and right up to Bella. "Mmmm Daddy..." she purred and went up on her toes to kiss me. I stroked her back and hugged her close. Keeping her tucked into my side after we separated. Little did Bella know, her mic was still on...
