↑ Above is the shirt Danny wears.

The next day, I am up at 6 AM, like usual. I always wake up at that time on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. It just depends.

I get out of bed and walk over to my closet. I look inside of it. I see lots of black clothes. I never realize how much black I wear until I look in my closet.

I decide to go with a black Adore Delano shirt and black skinny jeans. The shirt has a the iconic Misfits skull on it only the skull has Adore's makeup. I couldn't find my shirt that said: "My Spirit Animal is Adore Delano."

I quickly change out of my pajamas and head to the kitchen. I'm not going to eat breakfast since I can't eat in the morning. If I do, I feel sick.

  “Good morning,” Andrew tells me.

“Good morning," I reply, "Have you let Shea out yet?”

“Yeah. I'll have to let him back in soon,” he replies.

“I can do it!” I insist. Andrew nods. So, I walk to the front door and open it. Sure enough, Shea runs into the house.

“Morning, Shea,” I tell him. He just looks up at me.

“So, did Dad go in early this morning?” I ask.

“Yeah,” Andrew replies, “He wants to get home early today for some reason.”

  “I wonder why,” I say.

“Maybe so he can see my game tonight,” Matthew says as he comes into the kitchen. “And I'm sure you'll be there since Aubrey will be playing.”

  “Shut up!” I exclaim.

“Hey, you should've known not to tell your brother that you have a crush on a boy. You know that I will always tease you about it,” Matthew explains.

“I thought you grew out of that,” I say.

  “You thought wrong.”

I sigh and smile. Matthew will never stop teasing me. I can live with that!

When I arrive at school, I see Kylee hanging out with Alex, Aubrey's girlfriend. That means I won't be able to hang out with her today. I don't want to tell her that I do not like Alex, that would make me a terrible friend. I'll just have to live with this, too.

Since I don't see any of my other friends, I quickly walk into the school building. It's better to be alone in there. You have a better chance of meeting someone.

I check the clock and see that I have arrived twenty minutes early. So, I decide to lean against the wall and listen music. Everyone else is in their groups. There are the jocks, preps, nerds, freaks, and outcasts. The difference between the freaks and outcasts is that the freaks hang out together. The outcasts usually don't.

The lyrics: “Maybe I got it wrong, how did I turn you off?” play through my earbuds. I begin to hum along to the song. It's "Things I Didn't Say" by Adam Lambert.

Alex, as in my friend, runs up to me. They forcibly pull me into a hug. "There you are, you jerk off!" they exclaim.

  “Hello,” I reply.

“Did I scare you?” they ask.

  “Not really,” I reply.

“Hey! You're not wearing your shirt today. I am!” they quickly unzip their jacket and reveal the shirt that says, “Bianca Del Rio is my spirit animal.”

  “Sorry,” I reply, “I couldn't find it.”

“It's okay,” they say. “Remember to wear it some other time, okay?”

  “Okay,” I say.

“I'm going to hang out with my other friends. Wanna come along?” they ask.

“No thanks,” I say. “I'm way too shy.”

“The only way to fix that is to socialize!” Alex suggests. “Come with me! I swear these guys are accepting.”

I perk up at the word, ‘guys.’ “Guys? As in males?”

Alex laughs. “Oh, honey, you're so gay! To answer your question, yes, but there is one girl. She's nice, I swear.”

“Alright,” I say uneasily. “I'll meet them.”

Alex leads me over to a small group that consists of three guys and one girl. The group is talking to each other. Well, that is until we get closer to them.

“Alex, who is this?” a boy with dark brown and red hair asks. He's the tallest person in the group.

“This is Danny, my new friend. He is as queer as a two dollar bill and crushing on the hottest linebacker,” Alex explains.

The boy looks me up and down before stepping forward. “I'm Sawyer,” he says and holds his hand out for me to shake. I just stare at his hand. I'm too nervous to move.

“Well, are you going to shake it or not?” he asks.

His voice scares me, so I quickly shake his hand. He then looks me over again. “He's cute,” he says, “tall, not extremely skinny, and shy. I like him.”

“Sawyer, don't scare him,” Alex says. They turn to me. “Don't mind him. He's just an overly gay athlete.”

“I am not gay! I'm heterosexual! I just happened to find a guy that may make me gay,” Sawyer says. It causes me to blush.

I do find him quite attractive, but I didn't know him that well yet. I can't really determine if I like him yet or not.

“These are the rest of my friends. They're not as creepy,” Alex says. “All of you say your name, and step forward.”

“I'm Connor," a boy with blonde hair says and steps forward.

  “I'm Kayden.”

  “I'm Josh.”

“And I'm Bailey,” a girl with dirty blonde hair says and steps forward. Her hair is pulled back in a pony tail.

“And as Alex said, I'm Danny,” I reply. “How did you all meet?”

“Through the school's GSA, or gay-straight alliance. We meet every Wednesday! You should join!” Josh says.

“Maybe I will,” I say, “Thanks for the invitation.”

“You're welcome,” he says, “Anyone that enjoys the Misfits should be a friend of mine.”

“Finally! Someone else who knows where this skull is originally from!” I say happily, “We should be friends.”

Before we can continue on, the first bell rings.

“That's our cue to separate,” Sawyer says. “See you all later.”

“See you later,” the group says, but not in unison. Alex and I ruin it for them.

I put my phone in my pocket and head for my homeroom teacher's classroom. Hopefully I'll be able to talk to Aubrey before class starts.
