Charlie and I pushed our way through the drunken crowds, fighting against the endless sea of bodies swarming the streets of Tortuga. The town it’s self was noisy and filthy, dimly lit with rusty oil lamps. The only light provided at nighttime.

“This is definitely no port royal.” Observed Charlie, and I couldn’t help but agree, Tortuga and Port royal were as different as night and day, Port royal was populated with nobles and the rich, Tortuga was over crowded with pirates, thief’s and murderers.

We stumbled into a tavern, hoping to purchase some form of refreshment, it was hours since we had eaten anything, and even then it had been stale bread and meat that even the maggots wouldn’t dare touch.

I sat down uneasily on the hard wooden stool; the bartender glanced up at me slowly and then cast his eyes down, he did a double take doubting that he had really seen what he saw.

“You’re not from around here, are you?” He asked with a grimace

I hastily looked around, everyone, though still going about their drinking and talking and brawling, was staring at me.

“No, I’m not” I stated truthfully, I then turned around and shot the nosy pirates all a death glare, Once again I regarded the bartender “you got a problem with that?” I questioned a trace of threat in my voice.

The bartender looked up at me again, a smirk spread across his ugly face, I could tell he was thinking of a great comeback.

Charlie leaned against the counter, the only thing preventing her from beating up the Bartender, she looked up at him with her stormy turquoise eyes “well, do you bilge rat!?” She shouted at him

“No, ma’am.” He coward

“That’s what I thought.” I said slapping a doubloon on the counter, “Give me a Bloody Maria and a bottle of Tequila.”

The bartender passed the Tequila to Charlie, and I stopped it and brought it to me, I slid the Bloody Maria over to Charlie. I had taken a liking to Tequila after I first had it a year ago, when me and Charlie snuck out of the Manor and spent the night in an alehouse near the east of Fort MacKay, I detested ale, but they had also poured Tequila by the bottle so I gave It a try, It was nothing I have ever tasted before, initially peppery in taste, then it exploded into an earthy, semi-sweet yet smooth taste.  The finish was very easy and did not linger, it actually left me almost salivating, and it’s been my favorite drink since. Charlie on the other hand loved the spike of the Tequila the tang of the tomato juice and the kick of the pri pir spice in the Bloody Maria, a Mexican variation to the English Bloody Mary.

I took a sip from the bottle and lit the rim linger on my lips, it was well aged and the caramel, vanilla tastes were unreal,

A sudden slap to my butt knocked me out of my Tequila bliss, I tuned sharply and delivered a powerful slap to the stranger behind me’s face, he clutched he cheek with aguish.

“Oy! What did you do that for!?” he asked is shock

“ A gorgeous wench like me deserves better than a ugly drunkard like you, I would have poured my drink on you too if it weren’t a sad waste of tequila,” I took another swig of my bottle “unfit to be even touched by an insolent swine!” I laughed heartily

It took a while for my insults to sink in throuh the drunkerd's sckull, but when It did, his face sunk like a stone.

"I'm very sorry Ma'am" He shrilled as he sulked away

"You'd better be." I said under my breath

I glanced over my shoulder, to check if any other man was eyeing me, and shure enough,  In the far corner, there was another person stareing at me, he was talking to someone becide him but he never took his eyes off of me. I studdied him, he had long black hair, worn in dreadlocks, cascadeing down from a red bandana. he had a mustache that shaped his upper lip and the oddest beared I have ever seen; It was seperated into two parts, and  had two beads breaded into it. His brown eyes were michivious, yet soulfull, and I have to admit I found him rather handsome.

Takeing me makeing eye contact as an invetation to aproach me, the man smiled and walked up to me, puting his arm around my shoulders.

"Hello love, care for me to buy you a drink?"

I glanced down at my bottle, which had some how been emptied

"You may" I agreed

"So what will it be love...Rum?" He asked with almost a flirtasiousness

"Tequila" I said, leaning my small frame against his

"shot?' He questioned ingrugued

I took a fineal swig of my bottle and slammed in down on the counter in fron of him "bottle" I answered shortly

"Intresting." He smiled

I alowed my self to giggle "Very."

"I'm Emily" I Introuduced finealy, puttin my hand in his

he brougt my hand to his lips,

I looked behind me at Charlie, she was looking at me with caution,

I guestured over to her "This is my sister, charlie" I introcuced

"Short for Charlette, perhaps?" He wondered

I wispered in his ear "yes but for your manhood's sake, I would call her charlie."

Charlie giggled at the though of herself beating up the handsome stranger

"And you are?" I asked looking into his eyes

He gave an exagerated bow "Captain Jack Sparrow at your service"

I giggled and charlie just roled her eyes

"So, mr Sparrow, what's your buisness here in Tortuga?"I asked

"I be recruting a crew to set sail to the isle de sirrena"

"A  Crew?" Charlie asked, now intersested

"Aye"

"Perhaps, if the sign up is still on going, you would have me and my sister join up."

"I would love to, love, but you do have to take certain measures in order to..."

"Like what?!" Charlie snaped

"well, um, have you ever sailed."

"yes " I answered annoyed

"Recently?"

"We were born on a boat, raised on a boat, bacicaly weve spent all nineteen of our years on a boat." It was an exageration, but hey it worked

"So Lot's of sailing experiance then?"

"Yes." We both said, exasperaited

"what other abilitys do you have?" He asked

I tilted my head upward and kissed him hard and passionately, then I slowly pulled away

"Welcome to the crew." Jack said starlted
