"Ms.Collins, you can go home now. I think we finished all the work here for today, and tomorrow apparently." My boss laughed.
"Thank you Mr.Simmons, it feels good to get to go home early."
"Thanks to you, have a wonderful day! After all, you young folks need to live your lives to the fullest."
"Thank you, have a good rest of your day!" I waved goodbye.
He's such a nice old timer.
I walked out to the parking lot and took out my keys.
I pushed the start up button on the keys and then my car started up.
My car isn't very big or nice, but I don't really need one anyways.
Once I reached my car, I opened the door and hopped in.
I shut the door and left the parking lot and I was onto the highway.
After about a half hour into the drive, I got a call from my boyfriend, Julián.
"Hey babe, need something?" I said once I picked up.
"Come on car, learn how to drive!" I yelled as a car cut me off and nearly hit my car.
"I was just checking to see what we need from the store." He chuckled.
Oh dear lord, his laugh warms my heart and makes butterflies in my stomach appear all over again like the first day I met him.
"We need milk, water, snacks, and- AHH!"
Loud crashing and screeching noises.
"Emily? Emily! Mi amor, what happened, are you okay?"
"EMILY!"
