Happy Tree Town.

My home.

Things are better now.

So why am I still haunted by my memories?

I watched Fliqpy run down the street, covered in red again. He hasn't grown tired yet of these mass killings. His manic laughter echoed down the road as I stayed seated in my chair. I sighed deeply, looking up at the blue sky. Splendid was up there, aiming for Fliqpy.  I shook my head as I reached into my pocket, pulling out my box of cigarettes. I lit one up as it was hanging loosely from my lips. I inhaled deeply, feeling the burn in the back of my throat.

I let it sit there for a moment before slowly exhaling. I've been lectured numerous times about how it was 'slowly killing' me and that 'it causes cancer'... I only laughed in their faces. If only they knew what I was.  A small part of me hoped it would... but I knew better. We all knew better. Here in Happy Tree Town... there is no true Death.

Fliqpy plopped himself in front of me, hand out. I looked at his bloodied hand. "You want one, boy?" I teased. He glared at me. "Don't fuck with me, Flippy," he growled in response. I smiled and placed a cigarette in his mouth. I lit for him and he let his hand drop. "Thanks," he cooed. I leaned back in the chair. "It's still your fault for getting me hooked," I said. He snorted. "As if. You were the one who stole them from my jacket," he laughed. I pouted. "Well if you didn't put your stuff where I put mine, I wouldn't have grabbed it," I argued. He snorted again but didn't reply.

He leaned against me and I scooted away. "Ew, Fliqpy! Don't touch me right now! You're covered in blood and it's staining my clothes!" I whined, trying to wipe the blood. It only smeared, making me pout more. Fliqpy laughed and wrapped me in a bear hug, covering me in cold blood. I squirmed, trying to break free. "Fliqpy! Stop it, you asshole!" I yelled. He chuckled and planted a kiss on my forehead before letting me go. "Aw, come on! You look cute like that!" he laughed. "I could just take you right here~" he cooed, giving me a hungry look. I took a few steps back. "D-Don't even think about it! We're in public!" I hissed.

He giggled before sitting back in his chair. "Don't worry, I won't right now," he replied. I looked at the ground, seeing my burnt out cigarette. "You made me drop it," I whined. He smiled and stuck the one he had into my mouth. "Oh relax sugar~" he laughed as he stood up. I glared at him, feeling my head tilt up. Even though we were the same, he's still somehow taller than me.. or maybe I'm just short? Still, it was a good four inches.

He ruffled my hair and started to walk away. "Where are you going!?" I asked, falling into his pace. "To get cleaned up~ You don't want me to dirty the bed again, do you?" he asked slyly. I felt my cheeks burn a little. "S-Shut up. You are to go straight to the shower," I ordered. He only smiled.

The pounding on the door snapped me out of my sleepy state. After we had gotten to the house, I must've dozed off in my chair again. I mumbled to myself and opened the door, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. "Hm.. 'ello?" I slurred. I looked down to see Splendid. While he has grown, he was still short. He was only up to my cheeks now. Splendid frowned a little. "Flippy? Are you okay?" he asked. I smiled. "Why wouldn't I be?" I replied. He touched my cheek. "You're covered in blood. Did Fliqpy hurt you?" he pushed. I laughed. "No, no! Not today at least. He was messing with me and hugged me while he was still covered in blood," I said. "I must've forgotten to wash up. I took a nap."

He crossed his arms but nodded. I moved aside and let him inside. "What brings you here?" I asked. He sighed a little. "The towns people..."

I frowned. "I don't want to hear it anymore, Splendid. I've given up fighting. If they want him or me gone, they will have to do it themselves," I said. He nodded, looking at his feet. "I know, Flippy. I just worry about you," he said softly. I relaxed a little and mushed his cheeks. I grinned and said, "Don't worry so much! I can still take care of myself!" He smiled and I gently kissed his head. He giggled and Fliqpy huffed. "What's so damn funny?" he asked. I let my arms fall and shrugged. "Just talking shit about you," I teased. He hooked his arm around my neck and pulled me close. "Don't talk about me if you aren't prepared for the consequences," he hissed in my ear. I felt shivers down my spine.

He kissed the scar of where he bit me before letting me go. Splendid pouted, looking a little red. He grabbed me and held me close. "Don't hurt Flippy!" Fliqpy laughed in his face. "Someone's a little jealous~" he teased. I felt Splendid's grip tighten a little. "I am not! I just don't want you to hurt him anymore!" he argued. Fliqpy chuckled. "Sure kid. You got a crush on my Flippy and you know it," he replied. I blushed and broke free from Splendid's grip. "Would you two stop it?! Not in the house! If you're going to fight, go outside! I don't want to clean up after you guys again!" I yelled.

Fliqpy grinned at Splendid, who crossed his arms and looked away. "Fine, fine~ We won't fight here," Fliqpy said. He straightened up and put his hand on his hip. "Anyways, I came down to see if we were having dinner tonight," he said, looking at me. I sighed and shook my head. "Maybe after I shower. I'm all gross still," I said, tugging my shirt. Splendid huffed. "Fliqpy, please try not to cause so much destruction on the buildings next time. The people have given up trying to stop you," he said. Fliqpy waved him off. "Yeah, yeah kid. I'll try to be more careful. Shouldn't you go help someone in help?" he asked. Splendid frowned and I glared at him. "Have a nice night," he said before leaving.

I rubbed my face. "Must you be an asshole to everyone?" I asked. He laughed and hugged me. "Of course~" he said. I went limp and he kissed my nose. "Need help cleaning?" he asked. I blushed deeply and broke his grip. "N-No! I can clean myself!" I stuttered. He laughed as I ran upstairs. I slammed the door and sighed. I let the water run but before I could even think about getting the dirty clothes off, I heard something go off, like a bomb, followed by yelling.
