What kind of moron are you? What did you think you could do? Did you really think you could take on a whole army like Fliqpy? Did you think you could take on Sargent? What kind of idiot are you!? You aren't Fliqpy, you aren't strong enough like him. Not psychically anyways. So stupid, so careless, so damn thoughtless! Why did you even think!? Did you even think!? No! No you didn't! And now look at where you are! You're fucked! You fucked up like always.
Fliqpy hummed softly to himself, picking at the scabs forming already. I looked over at him. He was sitting on the floor against the wall, staring at the ceiling. He winced a little as he ripped a scab off. "Fliqpy... they won't heal if you keep picking at them," I said softly. He grunted softly and lazily rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I know. But there's not much we can do until someone comes back," he replied. I nodded and crawled off the makeshift bed and to his side. He hooked his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close. "Just stick to the plan and you'll be fine. I'll take care of the rest," he said softly. I sighed deeply. "I wish you wouldn't keep doing this, Fliqpy. Doing all the dirty work for me," I replied. He clicked his tongue. "I know you don't like it but it's the only chance we got right now. He knows all of our tricks," he said after a moment.
"It's not fair that you always do all the work. You always have to carry me. Always have to play bad guy and keep me alive. Why can't I do the same for you? Why won't you let me help you?" I said as I shifted away from him. "Because you aren't physically capable of it! You have the mentality but not the strength!" he began to argue. "So what!? You aren't always stable! You're just a giant brute! You never think about anything!" I shot back. "And you overthink every little detail! You always hesitate and when you don't overthink, you act like this! You don't think either! And look at where it got us!" He gestured to the room. "Trapped!"
I frowned and got up. "This isn't my fault! You were the one that thought he could just take them on by yourself! You didn't stop to tell me where you were going or why! And when you did try to tell me, it wasn't very clear! 'Go kill your only friend! It's the only way!'" I mocked. "You don't even try to communicate with me! You just order me around like I'm still... still like a pawn or something! Like a toy!"
He stood up quickly and shoved me, making me stumble backwards. "I was trying to protect you! I only order you around like that because if I don't, you hesitate! You wouldn't let me near that so called angel of a friend and look at where it got you! Betrayed like usual! You never fucking listen to me when I try to do it your way! So why even fucking bother trying too!?"
I shoved him back into the wall. The metal echoed as he hit head against it. "Protect me against what!? You always claim that! Protect me from this and that, but you never tell me what 'that' is! You don't ever talk to me anymore! At least when we were in the same body, you would always warn me!" I shouted. He grabbed me by the shirt and threw me to the ground. He kicked me in the stomach, making me hold back the urge to throw up. "I tried to warn you about Mousey and the mess that was going to come but you didn't want to hear it. You were in over your head in love with that traitor! You were the one that fucked this all up! I had everything the way I wanted it!"
I grabbed his pants leg and drag him to the floor with me. We rolled around for a moment, landing hits wherever we could. I rolled on top of him, panting a little. "We were supposed to be a team, remember!?" I screamed. He flipped me over and kept me pinned to the floor. "We were never a team."
I felt my heart shatter and tears ran down my face. I shook violently but no sounds came from me. I studied his golden eyes and they said nothing back. They were dulled over, indicating he was livid. I kicked him off of me and wiped my bloody nose. "What did I ever see in you?" I said softly as I got up. Fliqpy scuffed. "Nothing worth saving apparently."
I looked over him and sat in the corner, back to the door. I rested my head in my arms, shaking as I tried to stop the tears. Fliqpy sat on the bed, letting out a frustrated groan. We sat in silence for the rest of the day.
I had finally calmed down when the door swung open. I heard the heavy clunk of steel toed boots enter the metal room. I looked up when I felt that familiar heavy hand on my shoulder. "Make up your mind?" he asked softly. I looked back to the dirty floor. I nodded softly. He grinned brightly and helped me to my feet. I stumbled a little and he caught me. "What'll it be, Flippy?" he asked as he kept me close. I could feel the tears swelling up and I held them back.
"I'll go with you, Sargent."
