Hello Ms. Janelle Ruiz! I am Mylea Sands. Not my real name but you can call me Mylea (mileya). I am a 19 y'o Filipina who lives in Southern Luzon. And here's my letter for you.
How are you? I hope you're doing great and healthy. Maybe you're thinking as of the moment that I am weird. Well, yeah, a bit. And I want to say sorry in advance if you will encounter grammatical errors. I am not as good as you in english. I prefer tagalog. I know you can understand tagalog but I wanna try writing a letter for you in english.
First, I want to say thank you. Thank you for writing amazing stories and sharing it with us! I joined wattpad when I was still 14 years old. And I've already read soooo many stories on wattpad, from different authors and different genres. But I NEVER tried reading a wattpad story written in ENGLISH. Why? Because I thought I won't comprehend and I won't feel anything. I thought the words would just pass and I would not understand the lines and the whole story at all. So, I just continued searching tagalog stories and never tried searching for english stories. Yes, I didn't trust myself.
BUT, just this year 2018, a story titled "The Bachelor" caught my interest. I thought it was unique... and of course written in english. But nevertheless, I tried reading it. And viola! I enjoyed it! I LOVED IT! I never thought I could finish a story if it's english but I DID! And it is because of YOUR STORY. Since then, I tried reading more of your stories. I finished the parallel stories of TB. After that, I tried TOTO AND THE BOYS. And again, I LOVED THE SERIES! I loved Toto. I wanna have my own Toto someday! 💛
Second, I want to say thank you, again. I thank you for making me love HISTORICAL FICTION! I said I've tried different genres such as romance, teen fiction, vampires, wolves, mystery/thriller, horror and more, but NEVER historical fiction. I found it boring. But when I read "To Bewitch A Beast"? It captured my heart 💘 I finished the completed stories of the Everard Family and Haverston brothers. And let me tell you that my favorite's "The Lady Who Stayed". I so love Adrien Haverston!!! 😍 (I shared my "feels" about him on my collection of the best wattpad stories I've read and I shared it here on wattpad. Title: Reader's Corner)
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I will never get tired of saying thank you for you've made me appreciate and love english stories especially historical fiction. I will never forget you. I will always admire your talent and dedication. I will always be a fan of yours. You deserve so much love and support! I so want to hug you right now and tell you how great you are, as a person and as a writer.
