Dear Diary,

This is A LOT to take in! Yesterday when my dad came home, Ms. Ellen was with him. They were in my mom's room, having a conversation. I thought they were having a friendly talk, and was about to cross the room to go downstairs when I caught a word- "marriage". Was the conversation leading somewhere else? I know eavesdropping is not a good thing to do, but I had no choice. The door was slightly open so I could get a clear view of Dad and Ms. Ellen. Dad was turning his back towards me and Mrs. Ellen was standing, right behind the bathroom door, facing dad.
"I'm worried about Lisa," Dad was saying. "I don't think she's ready for this yet."
"Don't worry, Mr. Slingsby." Ms. Ellen told Dad. "Right now, all Lisa needs, is a mom. I believe I can take the job of taking care of Lisa. She is an obedient child and I would really like to take care of her if she's having a difficult time. And I know how she feels, as I too lost my mom a few years ago."

So now I understood what was going on. Dad and Mrs. Ellen were getting married. I don't need a mom! I know what a mom's love feels like! I don't wanna replace my mother with a weird colleague who works with dad! How dare she takes the place of my mom? I'm afraid the marriage can't be stopped. And Dad told that Ms. Ellen would be staying at our place for some weeks as a guest. I guess he doesn't want me to know about the marriage yet. What a liar! I'll try to maintain as much distance from them as possible.
My whole life sucks! This is all so sick...
