Lonely Night

She lays alone in her bed at night

She lays there with nothing but the light

She turns over and proceeds to sigh

Wishing she never had to say goodbye

He lays there in his empty bed

Trying hard to clear his head

He turns over and begins to sigh

Wishing he never had to say goodbye

Their love was being torn apart

Leaving them with a broken heart

All they want is a warm embrace

But that is something they cannot ace

One day they decided to go shopping

They continue to do so, without stopping

Until their eyes met from down the aisle

They decided to stay there and talk for awhile

Soon they decided to go for some coffee

And soon after, to get some toffee

After awhile they had someone

They realized that they have found the one

There are no longer lonely nights

They have each other and that is their light

There is no more need to sigh

Nor a need to say goodbye
