Me and dogs have had a bond especially when I have food in my hand. Me and cats is a different story, the literally use up 8 of there 9 lives trying to hurt me. But my sister and cats is like a Venus fly trap and a fly.
Now matter how many times a cat scratches her she lives the cat. But back to mans best friend a dog speared my life once (this was exaggerated a lot). I was at a hill and I saw some dogs and I thought it was funny to bark at a dog and run up the hill because dogs couldn't climb up mountains, well it looks like that 1 dog didn't get the memo. As the dog grabbed my legs my life flashed between my eye but the dog just left...
