Chapter 6: Bye Bye

"Come with me Carley." Anne tells me. "Now."

I Follow her into her house, but my heart is leaping out of my chest. I hope nothing bad happens. She goes up to what seems to be her room, gesturing me to follow. As I sit down on her bed, I remember this is exactly how Lois sat me down in her room. Weird.

A second later, Anne peels off a mask and takes off a wig, but she is still turned around. I see long, dirty blonde hair fall out to her shoulders. I recognize her instantly. Lois? As Lois walks out of the room, I peer out the door. It seems as if she has gone down the hall, so I start running. Maybe this is my chance to escape! I run down the stairs and out the front door, to be greeted by not only Lois, but by Breeze and my father too. The start surrounding me and push me back inside the house. When I am inside, I start panicking. What are they going to do to me?

"We are trying to protect you, Carley. Your mother, she was vicious. Her heart was pure evil. She would force me to do things that I didn't want to do. She made me steal things and made me bully people. She was only 16 at the time, but she wanted a child so bad. I was in love with her so much, so I gave in. It was a trap. We don't want you to fall into it." Ryan told me.

"How can I believe you? And if you truly are so worried, why don't you go get Olivia?" I ask them. I am so confused, mostly because Caitlyn didn't seem so bad when I met her.

"Olivia has the 527 Villainous Gene. This gene makes someone so horribly evil that they might as well be a demon. That DNA test, remember? The one Kade gave you? It was to make sure you don't also have the gene. Olivia may seem sweet, but inside she is not who you think she is." Breeze told me. "I knew that ever since I adopted her, and I made it my responsibility to take care of her, because I knew no one else would want her. That is also why I wanted you to leave. So you don't get hurt." Breeze said. Just then, I hear a knock at the door. We all stop and stare. I am the first one to move, so I go and answer the door. As I grab the door knob, I have a quick second of regret. I open the door and to my surprise, no one is there. I step out to see if I can see anybody. Nothing.

But as I look to my right, I see a quick flash. There, I am grab and thrown. The next thing I see is Olivia standing over me.

"Let's go see our mom, Carley" She tells me. "It'll be fun."
