I ran away from the circle of people trying to record me.
"I feel like I'm gonna cry," I said to my lunch table as I sat down.
"What's happened??" Antra, Chloe, and Aliza asked in unison. I looked around and felt like everyone was staring at me.
"Sean asked me out in the middle of the locker banks. He literally got down on one knee and presented me with a Snickers bar. Everyone gathered around us and started to record too," I took a sigh, "I even told him no when he asked me this morning."
The group gave me a pitiful look while passing out candy to each other , but I knew they were trying to hold in their laughs.
"Who was there?" Aliza asked.
"Most of the popular kids," I said in sad tone.
Even if there were only about ten to fifteen popular kids there, it'd get to the whole grade eventually. I took a look around the lunchroom again and say Korey running up to the table.
"You broke my man!" He said as he glared at me. He twirled into the bathroom a minute after.
"I'm not eating lunch," I said as our table got called, "Sean would be in the lunch line too and I don't feel like dealing with him."
"Do you want us to confront him?" Antra asked as she got up.
"NO," I said as I tensed up. The last thing I wanted right now was to even mention Sean. I hate him so much. How could he even ask me out when he just tried to ask out Joey. He also thinks he can bribe me with candy?? I'm not that desperate.
I raised my hand to go to the bathroom. I didn't really have to go, but being the only person being at the table isn't a good idea right now. If I had stayed out there, I bet ten more people would have gone up to me and insult me about how I "broke Sean's heart".
I peaked out of the bathroom entrance and saw that everyone was at the table already. I walked back out and sat down.
I opened a piece of chocolate I got from someone and sighed.
"This is why I hate Valentine's Day"
