"Lexiiiiiiiii," Jordan said as I walked by her locker, "I ship it."

Ship what? Oh god please let this not be about Sean.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I said in confusion.

Jordan pulled out her phone and started to search for something. She then held up a picture to my face.

"Someone posted this on their story and look, I see you and Jack walking into the house area together."

My eyes widened and I grabbed the phone from her hand.

"Who took this??" I said worriedly. After we got our detention slips yesterday we walked into the house area together. I thought the house area was empty.

"Xari. I think she's shipping you guys too now," she said as she wiggled her eyebrows.

I gave the phone back to Jordan.

Ugh, the Sean thing just happened and now I'm in more chaos. It's probably going to get around the whole grade again.

"Nothing happened between us, I swear. We didn't even talk," I said looking around to see if someone was hearing us.

"This was taken during class and you guys were just walking into the house area. The clock in the picture says that it's 8:27. I don't know why you two would both be late to class by 27 minutes and you guys aren't on the same bus. Something seems a little odd don't you thi-"

"Nothing happened between us Jordan, do I have to repeat that like ten more times??" I said as I cut her off.

"Oof, it looks like somebody's getting a little defensive. Anyways I'm gonna go," she said as she walked away.

I started to walk and I pulled out my phone to check the time. The screen read that it's 7:54 am. I should probably hurry up so I don't get a tardy.

I reached the entrance to the D house when I saw Lexi B. approach me.

"Lexi, do you wanna go to the bball game after school today. Xari, Jesus, Chloe, and Ethan will be there," she said as we stopped walking.

Oh fuck. I'm serving my detention today after school, and I haven't told anyone yet.

"I can't, I have an orthodontist appointment after school," I said as the words just spilled out of my mouth.

"Didn't you have one like two days ago?" she asked with confusion.

"I lost my Invisalign and they're giving me a new one," I said as we started to walk again. I hope she doesn't see my Invisalign case on top of the stack of books I'm carrying.

We walked to class and carried on with our day

The final bell rang and I went to my locker to get my stuff. Amongst the crowd of people going to their destinations I see Jack B. walking into the detention room. I took my time to get inside the empty room and I picked spot to sit at that was three seats away from Jack.

The room was unsupervised and written on the board was,"work on something quietly". I took out a book and put my phone inside. I looked over to Jack working in his homework.

"What's your problem?" he said as he looked up.

I rolled my eyes and set my book and phone down.

"It's your fault that I'm in detention," I replied with an annoyed expression.

"It's not like I wanted to be here either. If you wouldn't had snapped at me this wo-"

"If you never talked to me in the first place this would've never happened. I'd also get to go to the basketball game instead of this stupid place. If this never even happened, no one would have shipped us and the Xari would have never gotten that picture."

"Chill, it's only detention," he took a pause,"Wait what picture?"

"Ugh don't play dumb," I said as I picked up my phone and showed him the picture that Jordan sent to me. He studied it carefully.

"Oh, I guess it does look weird that we walked in together that late into the period," he said as he continued to work on his homework.

There was a ten minute silence of the room since we didn't know what to say to each other.

"I'm sorry for telling you that everyone hates you," he said as he looked up from his homework.

I glanced at him.

"It's fine," I said as I looked back at my phone.

I looked at the time and it was finally 3:45.

"I'm outta here," Jack said as he grabbed his backpack and jacket.

I picked up my stuff as well and walked out the door and into the main entrance. I saw my mom waiting outside. She didn't look too happy.

"How was the 45 minutes of punishment,"she said as I got in the car.

"It was alright. We basically did nothing," I replied. I don't really want to talk about what happened.

"Who else was in detention with you? I saw a boy walk out the door a couple minutes before you did," she asked as she looked at a car driving away.

"Oh... I don't know," I said quietly as I looked out the window.

"Did you guys get in trouble together?" she asked.

My body tensed up.

"No..." I said as I looked away from the window

"He's nobody."
