“Hello.” He says, casual as if he wasn’t just blown to oblivion by a magic crystal.
“Oh Robin, I missed you so much. “ I try and hug him but I go straight through his non-materialistic body.
“I have missed you so much Regina, how are you?”
“How do you think I am, you left me all alone. I missed you so much, I told you to stay out of my way why would you do that?” The tears are pouring down my cheeks now.
“Oh Regina, I love you, I would do anything for you, and you know that. The day I made that promise, you and I, you know. We both weren't expecting it to turn into a relationship.” I couldn't help but smile at what he said.
“Robin, I love you too, but I need you now more than ever.”
“Regina, Love, did something happen?” I can barely get it out.
“Robin, we’re having a baby.” The tears that just stopped are threatening to return.
“We are having a baby?” He asks, his voice quieter and softer than I have ever heard him speak before.
“Yes, and I don’t know what to do.” His smile lightens up with joy and pride.
“Regina what you’re going to do is be an amazing mother for our child and she is going to love you as much as I do if not more.” My heart breaks again with his words.
“I didn’t say it was going to be a she.” I tell him, smiling slightly.
“Well that’s what I think. You are going to be her mother and you are going to have to tell her who I was because I won’t be able to be there for her.” My smile fades.
“Robin. Hades, he gave me a choice. He said that I could have you back in exchange for Emma. Should. Should I do it?”
“Of course, not. Emma has been there for you since I have been gone, has she not?” He questions me.
“I mean, yeah, she has.” I confess.
“Well, love, you can't trade Emma for me.” He tells me.
“I know.” I answer, I look down at the floor in sadness.
“Regina, look at me, love. I want you to do me one favor.” He says to me, and I am worried as to what he asks might shatter my heart.
“Of course, Robin. What is it, you want me to do?” I ask him.
“I want you to promise me, that you move on from me and be as happy as you once were.” He says to me, he smiles slightly and my heart just crushes into a million little pieces.
“Robin, how can I move on? I love you and I always will. This child will be a constant reminder of you. How will I ever be able to forget you?” My throat is threatening to close on my words.
“I didn’t say to forget me. I just want you to move on, find a new love and be happy.” He says as if it’s the easiest thing in the world.
“Robin, I don’t want to move on. I want you.” My voice cracks near the end of my sentence.
“Regina, just know that I will forever love you.” He says as his image starts to flicker.
“I… I love you too, Robin.” The last thing I see of him is his smile as he disappears, only to be replaced by Hades.
“Have you made your decision yet?” He asks me and I take a deep breath.
“Yes I did. First I would never trade Emma, and second get the hell out of my office.”  I am surprised by the strength I found to say that.
“First of all, it’s the Underworld, not Hell, secondly, as you wish.” Just as he begins to flicker away, the door to my office slams open and a voice calls my name with urgency.
“Regina!” Then he’s gone.
