|Chapter Two|
I've never been so happy to go home. I walked out of the school with my hoodie on trying to avoid Ace. Man was I wrong about that list I made.
I plugged in my headphones and started my route home acknowledging the scenery around me. It was late August and it was starting to cool out side. The trees were aging with pretty colorful leaves that was bound to leave them in September.
A light breeze of wind whipped around me and I tugged my sweater down on my knuckles to keep them warm. Everything felt nice in the moment.
I took out my journal as I turned the corner to record my thoughts until I bumped into someone.
"Woah"
They steadied me until I gained my balance. "So we meet again Jan?" Ace said. I looked at him with wide eyes and made a small smile.
I don't even know why I expected for the end of school to be any better. I nodded my head turning a tinge of pink and tried to ignore the other person who was standing next to him.
I began to walk away until Ace slung a shoulder over me and pulled me closer. "Wait Jan I didn't have a chance to introduce you to my buddy" Ace said looking down at me.
His grey eyes were held with excitement and the little gold flecks Twinkled. I took a little breath of air before looking away with rosy colors spreading on my cheeks.
"Make this quick" I muttered looking at the ground. I had to get home asap so I can take care of glenna my guinea pig. Glenna is the person who actually listens to me ramble and never interrupts me on how weird I am.
And I'm not saying this because she's a guinea pig.
"January meet Aerrin, this is my brother from another mother" Ace exclaimed. I looked up and almost choked on my spit. This guy was drop dead GORGEOUS.
He had a nice jawline and gorgeous brown hair and Pretty hazel eyes and UGHHH,he was fit and had a nice face shape.
What's up with all these beautiful creatures that was carefully made approaching me?
My heart started speeding fast. What if I look bad? I started patting my hair down and smiled nervously. "Hi" he said smirking at me.
At that moment I could've died, in the boy with grey eyes and gold flecks arms, in the late Month of August where trees turned pretty colors to comfort the Lost of leaves, all from embarrassment.
"Jan you ok?"
Ace's voice ringed in my ears tearing me away from my wild thoughts. "Y-yeah uh, hi?" I muttered clenching my hands around my book bag straps.
Both boys let out a snicker and I grew mildly uncomfortable. "Wow bro you landed a quiet one I would've never expected that. I'm kinda jealous" Aerrin said.
My eyes widened and I stepped away from Ace shaking my hands in disapproval.
"I am not his girlfriend!" I said surprised.
"I mean I'm wayyyy out of his league look at him and look at me I'm like a nerd you guys don't like nerds but I'm a special nerd I do work 22 hours a day and the other 5 I spend eating I'm also very hideous I mean I didn't even get to flat iron my hair and I'm wearing this horrible spray my grandma sprayed on me today an-"
Ace put a hand to my mouth and started laughing hysterically. "January you're so self conscious, it's so adorable the way you Ramble" Ace said smiling down at me.
That was my cue to go and cry in my room with Glenna. I went a bright pink and started walking away shrugging Ace's shoulder off me fast so he wouldn't witness my silent meltdown.
