|Chapter Four|

At the end of the school day Ace decided to give me a ride home, and I was pretty happy.

Ace had a all black motorcycle that was shining from the little Ray's of sunlight hitting it. "Are you scared?" Ace asked while picking up a helmet and putting it on my head.

"Scared! I'm beyond scared I'm excited! This is so awesome I've always wanted a motorcycle but my grandma would never allow it because she said only the reckless liked these dangerous things oh my gosh if I had a chance to get one I would get a all matte black one that's super fast and-"

I had caught myself rambling and shook my head blushing. "I'm sorry I know I talk a lot" I said in a shy tone. Ace stared at me with amusement before letting out a little scoff and brushing it off.

"Jan I find it quite interesting when you ramble, I don't know why you get so shy when you do" he said staring in my eyes.

I looked away and stared at some trees only to hear Ace laugh and then hop on his bike. "Do you need some help?" Ace asked.

"Nope" I said as I got behind him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and secretly smiled. Ace started up the engine and pulled out of the school lot.

There was so much air gushing around me kissing my neck and cheeks. The wind gave off a cooling sensation and calmed me down. We went pass trees with bright colors and the sky was a fair blue.

I was so focused on this feeling of freedom that my mind pushed out the negative things and expanded with positivity.

I leaned closer to Ace and closed my eyes hoping this would never end. Hoping this feeling that gave me minty tingles would course through my body and give me the gift of confidence.

We came to a stop and I opened my eyes to see the yellow house with blue window panes happy to see me. I released Ace and got up to take off my helmet. Ace got up too and took the helmet out of my hands to sit on the motorcycle.

"What are you doing?" I asked skeptically as he started pushing me with the house with him behind. "I want to greet your grandma and tell her about us" Ace said.

I stiffened as we made it to the front door and Ace knocked. We waited a minute before my grandma opened the door. She was wearing her gardening clothing and then her eyes widened.

"Why January you didn't tell me you were bringing a cutie to my house! I would've looked better" my grandma said.

I nervously laughed as my grandma ushered us in the house and went to the living room with me and Ace tailgating behind her.

I took a peak at Ace who was looking at all of the pictures on the wall with amused eyes. We sat down on the dark green double couch and my grandma sat in her favorite rocking chair.

"I'm Elaine and you are?" My grandma asked excitedly. Ace let out a little laugh before responding back.

"I'm Ace Daniel, January's boyfriend" he said.

My grandma let out a whole shriek as she hopped out of her chair and grabbed me to hug.

"God has finally given you a man! I told you it was going to be 12th grade year! Oh my gosh is this the boy you was telling me about yesterday and how you thought he was really dreamy and quite amusing!? MY BABY!" my grandma rambled.

I looked over at Ace for help and he simply laughed at me and then gave me his signature smirk.

My grandma finaly released me and began to ramble off to Ace.
