The hallucinations are becoming more severe. I'm unable to move. The carpet is caked to my eyelids. I need to move.
My fingers crack loose of the folded position they have been in. I blink.
Deep breath, was I even breathing?
My joints snap and pop as I move them.
Clang.
I stretch my leg out and struck a metal object. I can't extend my limbs. I try to stand but I'm surrounded by metal bars. It's a cage. I'm in a cage. The room is black. I wiggle my fingers between the bars.
Help me! Please! Help!
Each word is more stressed.
Am I talking? Can anyone hear me? Am I dreaming?
My dark surroundings spin into a cyclone of rainbow colours.
I'm on the floor in the living room again.
What's going on?
"You saw it, didn't you?" Deklen purrs.
Sassy gives a yelp, "Was it as awful as I remember?"
I sit up and scan the room. I have no sense of time. It could have been minutes or days that I have been out.
I stop and look back over everything. The house has been cleaned.
Someone was in my house.
