(Pink Skies - LANY)

I yawned as I pulled up to WaWa, parking my car before I strolled into the store. A few girls gave me dirty looks, which confused the hell out of me, but I bought my drinks and strutted passed them on my way out. I put the drinks down and pulled out of the lot, heading to Gianna's. She called saying she had something to tell me and my gut kept pointing all arrows towards the twins.

I stopped at the red light and leaned my head into my hand as it rested on the window, thinking about everything for the thousandth time. As I waited for the light to turn green, I looked to the car next to me and saw a girl with her phone up taking pictures of me. I turned my head the other way, covering what was visible with my hand, and waited for the light to turn green so I can turn to Gianna's house.

I parked the car and grabbed my wristlet and phone, feeling a buzz course into my fingertips. Grayson texted me, again. Today's message read: "What do I have to do to get you to text me back". I rolled my eyes and grabbed the drinks, closing the car door with my ass and kicking Gianna's front door with my feet.

She hurried to the door and pulled me in, grabbing my phone from my hand. I yelled, "Oh hey Kaiden, how are ya holding up! Thank you for the drinks! It means a lot!" I mocked, setting the drinks down on the dining room table. She ignored me while I pulled up a chair and let her scan my phone obnoxiously. I picked up the drink and put the straw between my teeth. "What're you doing anyway?"

"Has anyone said anything to you today? Or um, gave you more attention than you're used to?" She hurried, glancing between the phone and I.

I thought for a minute as I sipped the milkshake "A little, but we always get bitches sometimes-"

"Kaiden have you even been on your phone lately?" She scoffed, throwing the phone on my lap.

I almost choked on the milk and spit an answer out while I was still swallowing from her abrupt actions, "No!" I swallowed, "I've been too busy wishing death upon me." I sulked further down wanting to disappear.

"Okay well the dolan fandom knows about us." She crossed her arms and anxiously waited for a response. Normally, if him and I were still together, I would be overjoyed. But after everything that's happened, how can I care?

"So what? We aren't with them anymore, they'll think it was nothing." I reminded her, picking up her drink and waving it in front of her face.

"Kaiden still, we're gonna get hate no matter what-"

"This is what you wanted to tell me-"

"No," She sighed defeated, "I wanted to tell you that I need to go the mall." She huffed, walking passed me to grab her purse. "I know you and Gray are done but you could still care."

I dodged her question and talked about the mall as she walked back to me, "Why the mall though?"

"Because my birthday is in 7 day's so, let's shop." She opened the door while I rolled my eyes and brought me and my drink after her. "I'll drive," She smiled running up to her jeep.

I hopped in after her and yelled for her to drink her milkshake. She obliged as she pulled out. "Emergency break." I reminded her, and with that we were on our way.

"Now when you see her, don't beg for her to come into your life or anything. Just play it cool." I reminded him as I turned into the mall.

"Okay," He nodded with a lick to his lips. "I'm just gonna act like it was an accident-"

Before he could finish, I cut him off. "Cause it was Gray, Gi and I are doing this as subtle as possible." He nodded as we parked the car in front of Cheesecake Factory. "You're gonna bump into her in the Nordstrom Cafe." I read off my phone, "Wherever that is."
