That time, it has been three days since the Untitled was officially formed. What happened then, the two members were alone with each other during the study period when students aren't allowed to go outside the class.
"Cardiac Glycosides*...," Caron mumbled, flipping a page of the medical book he was reading. The other man sat on the other side of the table, literally on the table. Caron hit Carrick's back with the book.
"Haha, you're quite violent, aren't you? Though you look as soft as a hamster," the other chuckled, but got ignored. He inched closer.
"Hey, Caron?"
No answer. Caron remained like a statue.
"Caron?"
"......"
"Carl Alcroft?"
"What?"
Carrick pouted. "You only respond when I call you with your real name."
"Get straight to the point. Oh, and, the table will get dirty if you keep sitting on it. The librarian shouldn't be behaving like a child."
Caron's tone and expression remained flat as he continued reading the book without bothering to look at the other.
"Hey, Caron, I don't think I can last three years acting like an innocent and cheerful person when in reality I'm a mafia."
The sound of the book being closed was heard. Caron now stared at the man in front of him. Without saying anything, he stood up and went to place the book he picked earlier. The bookshelf took him many steps before he was able to put the book back to the section it belonged.
Putting it back and looking for the similar books in the same row, he said to Carrick, cold and emotionless, as he took out a different book from the bookshelf,
"Then leave the Untitled."
Before having the time to be completely aware of his surroundings, the taller man was already behind him. With his height, Carrick Nuremberg had the dominating and pressuring aura when he looks down on people. When you see someone who's a happy-go-lucky person change the aura they give off, that's when you know you need to avoid them. Carrick is one of those people.
"Carrick." Caron stared back at his eyes, giving the same glare.
The other smirked, leaning down so he could stare directly at Caron's eyes. Though, that was also a way to show off his dominance. With the sunlight blocked by the tall bookshelf behind him, the nurse felt cornered now that the mafia is right in front of him. It felt dark and frightening, as if you're the only human in the hungry wolves' den. Not that he will show even the slightest bit of the fear.
Can he call this Carrick Nuremberg's real self?
"You're really that arrogant, huh?" The deep, deep voice of a demon that sent chills even for someone like Caron. "I'm telling you; there's no way I can mantain the image of a librarian whom students adore for three damn years. That is, without at least playing with one poor soul."
Caron saw from the corner of his right eye, Carrick taking out an injection from his pocket. His eyes widened from panic and fear; he tried to escape but the mafia already grabbed his neck strongly and forcefully, lifting him up until his feet weren't touching the floor. A hand wearing a black glove choking him. Caron struggled to no end, but Carrick was times stronger than him.
"Dammit...! Let go of... me!!" He groaned, trying to sound the strongest that he could through the lack of air he was starting to feel. However, the other showed no signs of letting go and instead...
