Natalie was exhausted but she knew her night was far from over, she was waiting in line at Starbucks in the Philadelphia International Airport, that was oddly busy for the time of night. She looked back at the table to see her cousin, Katy who sat with their carry-on bags and looked like she too could barely keep her eyes open. After about 10 minutes, Natalie found herself at the front of the line giving the cashier her order for a venti mocha and venti strawberry green tea, half the ice. The worst part of going to Starbucks late at night was the fact they only had one person behind the counter to take care of both taking orders and making drinks. Katy came up to Natalie as her drink was ready, letting her know she was going to rush to the bathroom and she'd meet her outside of it before they went to baggage claim.
Natalie collected her warm drink, thanking the barista. She picked up her purse from the table along with Katy's duffel bag and made her way to the closest bathroom. Her phone pinged letting her know she got a text message, reaching into the pocket of her coat she saw it was her other friend, Ally.
Alleona: I've tried Katy, but she isn't responding, are you guys at the airport yet? I'm at baggage claim with your bags from the earlier flight.
Natalie: Yeah, we are here, I needed coffee. Her phone died like 30 minutes ago, her charger is dead. We'll be down soon. This day has been a mess.
Alleona: Lyft is on me, how has she not panicked? She's attached to her phone more than I am. :'D
Natalie was about to respond but a large mass walked into her and her coffee landed at her feet.
"No! Coffee! No!" Natalie looked down at her spilled mocha now lying all over the ground with such great sorrow. She knew she wasn't about to get back in line for another.
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going and texting." Right away, Natalie recognized the voice, she was almost shocked to see Sebastian Stan standing before her. The reason her and Katy had flown all day to Philly was so they could see him, Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller, and a few other celebrites, but mostly him.
"I wasn't paying attention either, it's been a long day of travel." Trying not to freak out or give away the fact that she was inwardly struggling to not get tongue tied. Sebastian had picked up the now only a quarter left cup and threw it in the trash can close to them. Sebastian's face was a bit pink as he gave her a half smile feeling bad for the woman.
"Can I at least buy you another cup of coffee? I still feel like shit for making you spill yours." Scratching the back of his head. He looked at Natalie with the same half smile he had been giving her before. Natalie was about to say yes, only then she remembered that she was waiting for Katy. But would she let her live this down? Would Ally let her live this down when she told the girls at the hotel about how she turned Sebastian Stan down for free coffee?
"Yeah, can you go ahead of me, I'm waiting for someone?" Natalie smiled and a look of relief spread across his face. "It was a venti mocha right?" Natalie nodded her head but asked him to make it a grande this time, she didn't want to be up all night. The duo split up, Natalie walking into the woman's restroom and Sebastian going towards Starbucks.
Katy was at the sink washing her hands when she got in the empty bathroom. Natalie dug into her purse and pulled out her portable charger handing it to the younger woman, along with her duffle bag. Katy looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I don't have much time to explain but Sebastian Stan just walked into me. I dropped my mocha to the floor. I know it sounds crazy but he wants to buy me a new drink. So I need you to go meet Ally at baggage claim. She has our luggage. I'll be down as soon as I can, so stay there." Natalie smiled at Katy, who gave her a playful shove calling her a lucky girl, laughing. When Natalie finally reached Starbucks, she saw Sebastian leaning down next to a little girl and boy, a teenage girl behind him, as their father took a picture.
