I sat outside my apartment the sky was dark and the woods were quiet. I always loved being outside but something was different about tonight. The stars did not shine like they did the other night in fact I haven't seen a single star yet tonight. I breathed in a sigh of relief its been a couple days now since I'v arrived in the tiny town of New Port, Michigan. I start school tomorrow and I just hope I can stay out of harms way I don't wanna hurt anyone.
I walked inside my apartment and went to my room. I was dreading school tomorrow. I just I wanna be a hero this time someone that someone would wanna fall in love with. He laid back on the bed this was going to be a long night.
***Back At Lunch***
Macy and Liz had been watching Jade and Nathan for 45 minutes and they were about to leave. Macy couldn't stand it anymore she got up and stormed out. Macy could hear Liz calling after her but Macy just wanted to be alone. To her it seemed like everyone else was happy and there she was broken. Macy made her way out the doors of the school and sat under a tree. The wind blew her hair lightly and the sun warmed her skin.
It may be fall here in Michigan, but it felt like winter. Macy wrapped her arms around herself trying her best to stay warm. She needed to re think this year. She lost Tim, Jade had a boyfriend and well she still had Liz and she was still queen of the school. Macy pulled out her phone there were tons of messages. There was about 5 from Tim. Macy deleted those without reading them. Then there was 3 from Liz asking where she was and 2 from Jade asking if she was okay.
Macy sent a quick text to Liz and Jade about her where abouts and checked the time. It was the first day she didn't want to be to late. Macy got up to go inside for 6th period. As she walked through the doors she was greeted again with "Hey Macy!" "What's up Macy?" and alot of "Looking good Macy!." Macy responded with heys and sups and thanks but really all she cared about was getting to class. As Macy approached her next class she saw Liz waiting by the door for her. Liz was looking at her phone.
"Hey Liz!" Liz looked up from her phone and smiled.
Liz was a very pretty girl She had blonde hair and she was drop dead gorgeous.
"Hey Macy, You gotta stop running off like that." Liz said putting a arm around Macy.
"Hahaha I'll try" Macy said meaning and hoping to actually follow through with it.
Macy and Liz took their seats as class begin. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. The teacher Mr.Smoth answered the door.
"Can I help you" Mr.Smoth said to someone outside the door.
"Um...uh.. yeah..I'm new and got lost but my names Connor, uh Connor Ridge."
"Ahhh Connor come in , Class this is Connor."Mr.Smoth introduced.
Connor was perfect thought Macy. Macy pulled out her phone and sent a text to Liz.

Liz checked her phone smirked and sent back a text saying
--------Babe I'm pretty sure every girls gotta have him good luck ;)--------
Macy smirked at Liz and they went back to tying to trying to focus. Macy couldn't keep her eyes off of him. She kept thinking of ways to get him to notice her but she couldn't. Finally 6th period ended and Macy and Liz left class together. The rest of the day went fine but there was talk all over school. "The new guy is so hot!!" "Which one?" "Both!!" was all you heard everywhere you went. Liz was right this was going to be harder than she thought.
When the day ended Macy still had no idea how she was going to get Connors attention. Macy and Liz went to go find Jade to see if they could hang out. As they made their way through school to the parking lot there were police everywhere and there in the middle of the circle was Chloe. Macy wasn't very close to Chloe but they were on good terms. The ambulance had arrived and was taking Chloe away. There was a pool of blood on the pavement where Chloe lay there was no way she was still alive.
Police were taking students into different classrooms and talking to them one by one. Many girls were scared and woulnd't let go of their boyfriends arms. Macy was confused. How would anybody be able to kill someone like that? Macy and Liz just kept exchanging glances mostly of worried but also confusion.
As Macy got taken into a room for questioning she saw she wasn't the only one in the room. The police officer told them to stay and he went out to talk to another officer. Macy was determined to not let Nate get to her. Nate had never really liked Macy. Macy had always feared Nate for past things she never wanted to be left alone with him.
Macy could see Nate smirking with his arms crossed in the chair tapping his foot. Nate got up and moved his chair in front of Macy's forcing her to look at him. Macy could feel the hate radiate off of him. Macy was praying that the officer would be back soon. Nate looked at the door then back at Macy.
"So.. my dear dear Macy." Nate said walking around Macy slowly.
"You've grown up fast haven't you?" Nate said again stopping in front of her face looking directly in her eyes.
"Get lost!" Macy said without even looking at him.
"That's no way to treat a friend" Nate said talking Macy chin in his fingers.
"You are not my friend!" Macy said keeping her voice low, and looking the other way.
"Look at me!." Nate demanded turning my face to look at his. Nate raised his hand and slapped Macy.
"Next time I say look you better look." Nate said sitting back down.
Macy could feel the tears pricking her eyes. Macy couldn't stand to be there for another minute. Finally the police officer came in. He asked a few simple questions like where were you at what time with who and stuff like that. Nate was acting like his normal bully self and making himself look stupid. Finally the police officer let us go.
As Macy walked to the door she saw Connor walking out of a room walking this way. Macy just walked to her car and was surprised to see Liz and Jade there. Jade looked like she might hurl as for Liz she looked terrified she couldn't understand what time type of person would murder someone so innocent. Macy hit the unlock button and they all got in the car. Macy couldn't help but think back to the image of Chloe dead on the ground.
The car ride was silent and Macy just waned to get home when she she was done dropping the girls off she went straight home. She opened up her car door and walked to the front door. Kenna opened the door.
"Hey Kenna." Macy said feeling some of the fear go away.
As Macy made her way to her bed room she heard her parents whisper yelling the kitchen.
"What do you mean they don't know who did it?" Her dad asked.
"I mean the police don't know who killed Chloe Hills" Macy's mom said calmly.
Macy closed her bedroom door and lay on her bed thinking. She then noticed a small green paper stuck to her mirror. Macy got up and grabbed the piece of paper. Macy was shocked. This paper was for one scary but also gave a for shadow of what was to come, and the fact that who over it is got into her bedroom is worse. Macy stuck the paper in her pocket and walked down stairs. Macy was shaking all over. What was she going to do and more important what could she do.
