Something Beautiful Chp 9

I cleared my throat after a minute of silence,I pulled up stopping at the stop light.

Her hand was placed in the middle of us as she was looking out the window a small sad look on her face,I dont know what the hell caused me to do it,but I did.

I placed my hand on top of hers and slowly fit my own fingers into the spaces in between hers and then gently squeezed her hand as she looked over at me,our eyes locking for just a single momment.You could feel that intense feeling between us in the car,she smiled at me,that cute sweet lovely little smile.

The smile she smiled when shes just been cheered up.Its easy to make her sad,but its just as easy to make her happy once again. And what I liked even more is,I put that smile there.

"So,where we going to eat?"She asked as I put both hands on the wheel again

"Well,I was hoping that In-n-out would be alright ?"I looked over at her again for a response.

She nodded  smiling"that sounds great actually!"

"Uhm,I was wondering.."She slowly said,not sure whether to finish the sentence or not..even though we both knew now she had no choice..

"Yea?"I prompted turning the wheel

"Do you sing?..I mean,its just..I uhm,I seen a microphone stand next to your guitar in your room that night when..uhm I just,sorry."She shut herself up.I didnt like it when she did that,i hated it actually.

I decided to give in instead.."Yep I sing" i stated simply

"you do!?Can i hear?puhlease james!please!" she begged putting her hands together

God shes adorable.."Fine..fine" ,"but only because  I like this song"

She grinned as I turned the radio up slightly ,just enough to hear the lyrics and music, I slowly started to sing,not making eye contact with her once so ever,but instead keeping my eyes on the road,soon enough I pulled into the drive through of In-N-Out ..

I stopped singing as I got up to the Menu to order,I looked over at her to ask what she wanted but her eyes were smiling,and she covered her mouth,but you could tell she was grinning from the dimples that were there.

I laughed"take a breath to tell me what you want first,then you may freak out" I said sarcastically

She gasped and said"I want a vanilla shake and fries ,Thank you very muchh"she playfully punched my arm then sat down again and crossed her arms.

I ordered ,and pulled up ,it was quiet for a momment..I counted in my head..One..Two..Th-

"OH MY GOSH I CANT BELIEVE YOU CAN SING LIKE THAT JAMES!"She squeaked

I laughed shaking my head "Alright,i know im good,but its not like im gonna go on American Idol or something "

She pouted"WELL,I sure think you should!"

"You think alot of things " I chuckled handing her the bag and placed the shakes down,

"I wanna show you something" I said hoping she wouldnt  mind that i wasnt telling her what the Something was exactly.And thankfully she just nodded and sat back.

I drove to the park and walked her past the playground,past the picnic benches,and walked her through a few trees,soon we came up to a small hill and we sat there,just in time to see them.

"Are those-..."she trailed off looking out onto the lake.

"Yep..they are." I said taking a drink.

We were sitting on the soft grass that over looked the lake,a lake that held two Swans..

"They seem to only come out during this time of the day,Sometimes Ill ditch class to come see them..I use to see them all the time,right after I got out of school when I was younger.This was sortve like my own little secret spot..Coming here always made me feel better,more calm..more happy."I looked over at her ,as her eyes were already watching me.

The sun light hit the side of her face just right,a point to where her soft skin glowed,and her eyes glistened and glittered like the water reflections on the lake from the light.

The different shades of color more brighter,Going from dark blue,to green,then to a spot of light brown in the middle of her iris.I couldnt look away,her eyes were too captivating.

I felt that urge again,like earlier..I felt the urge to cradle her face,tell her everythings going to be fine,that we could run away,that I could take all her pain away,that I could make her happy..

That  we could f-

I stopped myself looking away from her and back to the Swans

"I bet its just as beautiful at night as it is in the day"she calmy said

"It is.." I said softly

Delilah screamed and I went to look behind me but it was already too late...

And thats when  I felt it, pain shot through the back of my head and I reached for her hand..

  "Delilah.." my now weak voice said,as my eyes went shut and everything became a blur as I fell over into the soft grass.

All I heard was her screaming my name...

Then it fell silent,and I was unconcious..

Everything becoming completely black.
