Chapter nine

Alex pulled up outside a large white three story house, it looked like it came out of a fairytale. Tall green trees surrounded the whole back area creating a private feeling. It was beautiful, I cant believe that I'm going to be living here and my favourite band are going to be staying with me.

The car came to a stop at a pale blue painted garage, Alex turned the radio off and looked at me.

"You can go in, I just need to park the car in the garage." He said with a warm smile.

"okay, ill see you in there." I climbed out of the car and walked towards the front door.

"I'll bring your bags in later." I heard Alex shout from the car.

I walked up the small steps towards the door. What was I supposed to do knock or just walk in. I walked up the last steps to find that it was left a jar, a faint music could be heard from behind it.

I slowly pushed the black painted door forward and walked into my new home.

It was beautiful. Pictures of the band with their families lined the cream walls, stone stairs raised high in front of me. Many closed doors left me curious as to what was behind them as well as showing me how large this house actually was.

The music changed and the familiar sound of All The Small Things echoed its way around the walls.

I walked around the stairs to find a open planned kitchen, white cupboards lined the walls and expensive cooking equipment was sprawled around the room.

Jack was standing on the black marble island, singing his heart out into a spatula. His back was turned to me so my presence was left unknown to the young guitarist. I lent against the door frame and watched him dance around madly to Blink-182.

He was actually quite a good singer, I wonder why he doesn't sing a lot more on the songs?

The song came to a end and Jack jumped around off the island. I started clapping and whistling.

"I didn't know you could sing." I said walking over to the kitchen side and trying to jump up to sit on the counter, but being the tiny person I am, I couldn't jump up.

Damn these short ass legs.

I felt a pair of hands grasp my waist and lift me onto the marble side. I crossed my legs and looked up to see Jack, who had become extremely close.

"Thank you." I tried to say, but it came out more of a whisper.

"No problem, short ass." Jack laughed.

"Hey! I'm not that short." I argue. "I'm fun sized."

He just laughs at me and turns the radio, which has began to play bulletproof heart off.

"How much did you see?" Jack asks, referring to his singing out burst.

"All of it, I must say, your dancing skills are the best." I giggle, remembering when he began to shake his butt around.

Jack has quite a nice ass, NO Ash, you can't be thinking things like that. No more attractions to anyone, you just get hurt.

"Oh i know, my dancing skills are the best." Jack states, moving closer to me. Putting both of his hands on the kitchen top, each side of my thighs.

"You should teach me sometime." I say, I glance at his face, getting lost in the deep brown pools.

My mind is screaming to look away but i just can't.

"I can teach you a lot of things." Jack whispers, leaning closer to my face, his eyes skipping from mine to my lips every now and then.

His face begins to start leaning quicker and I close my eyes, i find myself ignoring the screaming voice in my head and leaning in too. I stop moving and wait for Jack's lips to hit mine.

After a moment of waiting, i open my eyes to find that I'm sitting in a emtpy room. Jack had left me hanging, how could he do that?

I jump down from the side and lean back against it.'He was going to kiss you' my mind screams.

"You okay Ash?" Alex asks walking into the room, a guitar under his arms.

"Yeah." I reply staring at the floor.

I can't believe that he would do that, I can't believe that i was going to kiss him. God I'm so stupid, I need to stop getting attached to people, all they do is leave and hurt me. Jack has just proved that he's bad for me. That boy is not getting anywhere near me like that again.

"okay then." Alex replies, breaking my thoughts, he sounds unsure but drops it anyway.

Alex moves around me and places his bright pink guitar on the island.

"The band is taking you shopping tomorrow, seeing as you have no clothes."

"You don't have too, i feel like a burden on you guys." I look up to see a annoyed look on Alex's face.

"You are not a burden, me and the rest of the band are happy to have to stay with us." He says with a large grin.

"Now lets take you on a tour of the house."

*Jack's POV*

I almost kissed her!

Why didn't i just place my lips to her.

Oh god I'm a jerk.

Millions of questions flooded my brain as i ran out of the kitchen, leaving Ash sitting there waiting to be kissed, alone.

I ran upstairs and slammed my bedroom door closed. I lent against the solid wood, before sliding down and laying my long legs in front of me.

I couldn't kiss her, I've only known her a day. She's broken, I can see the pain in her eyes. She needs someone better to fix her, not some lanky, immature boy who can't look after himself right.

I sighed before standing up and stripping down to my boxers and jumping into my large bed.

It took me a while to fall asleep but when I did I dreamt of holding Ash in my arms.
