CHAPTER ONE —
money, money, money

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷

ILENA SPEIRS WAS RICH, ABSOLUTELY FILTHY FUCKING RICH.

Well, not really...but it sure as hell felt like it. She sat in the dressing room in front of her mirror as she counted another small stack of bills she had collected that night. The amount she had gathered seemed to be enough to cover the rent she owed from the month before as well as this month's.

Perhaps she could even buy groceries that'll last long enough, if her roommate's stupid boyfriend didn't eat them all that is. Which, if honest, was probably going to happen.

Leaning forward she opened the drawer to the dresser and pulled out a silver key hanging on a thin string which she put around her neck. Checking her face in the mirror for any makeup smears, she stood up and went to grab her jeans and top that she hung against the top of her dresser.

The other girls were counting their money and talking idly with one another, it was three in the morning and most were exhausted. Unless you were Clarissa who was planning to head to a party afterwards, it seemed as if that girl never slept.

Ilena grabbed her coat and slid it on considering how chilly it was outside, she grabbed her clutch and bid farewell to the other girls in the room.

Inside of the club, the regular lights were on instead of the obnoxious flashing lights that were on during open hours. The music was off and busboys were wiping down the tables and disinfecting the poles; the bar was already cleaned and restocked in preparation for the next time they opened.

Atlas, one of the men employed there, was waiting at the door for her with his keys in hand.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" He questioned as she approached him.

Atlas was one of the barmans who was very kind to all the girls especially since he knew that they had to deal with nasty men every night. He was a rather tall, dark skinned gentlemen who always had a happy smile on his face whenever he spoke to anyone.

Ilena liked Atlas, he was a good friend to her and he always drove her home without a single problem. Atlas had this type of aura around him that made you know you could trust him, he never did anything that could make you doubt that he was a good person.

Ilena nodded her head and glitter came from the hair that peaked out of her bun and onto the floor. The pair walked out of the club to his car which was parked in the back of the building where most of the staff kept their vehicles.
