Backstory: Maiko went to the same kindergarden as Ayhma and they grew up together. When they were older and got jobs of their own, they moved into an appartment together. A year before Mahiru found Kuro, Maiko found Tsubaki in his fox form and took him in. He was injured, so Maiko treated and feed him all the while showing love and affection for the animal. When she returned home from work one day she found Tsubaki in human form. He then explained what was and that he wanted her to be his eve. She then gave him a ribbon braclet, let him drink her blood, and keep his name Tsubaki. She isn't really bothered by Tsubaki's mood swings and laughs with him. She was then introduced to Tsubaki's Subclasses and instantly felt a connection with all of them. She loves and cares for all the subclasses, expecially Lilac. She has also seen Tsubaki's past and understands his reason for his hatred towards the humans and his siblings but dosen't always agree on the actions he takes. She attends the same school as Sakuya to keep an eye on him which is where she met Mahiru. Tsubaki shows loving affection towards her and is protective of her. It may turn from affection into something else in the future.
