Days have passed since Devin left us. Maybe he finally found his family. I know I should be happy for him because he's found a place where he belongs.

Maybe it's because I'm seflish but I don't care I miss him. I miss him so much. I can tell everyone's mood has shifted because of me.

But ever since my birthday party... Something has changed in me. I was happy. Peter has been checking on me everyday.

"Do you think he'll come back?" I ask Felix who was chopping wood down and just gives me a concern look.

"Who? Devin?" He asks and takes a second to answer, "I don't know.."

"Come on. Yes, you do." I say, turning my attention towards him, "tell me."

He sighs, taking the last chop of wood, "all I know is that even if he does, Peter wouldn't like it."

"How many times do I have to say this! He's our friend, Felix."

"Don't you think I know that?" He groans, carrying the wood back to the tents, "I listen to Peter."

"I listen to me." I say proudly and he just gives me a thumbs up, obviously not caring, "if you were leader, you wouldn't let him in?'

"...I would.." I was about to say something else but he stops me, "I am not a leader though.. and I will listen to Peter."

"Blah blah blah Peter this, Peter that." I roll my eyes, walking beside him, "can you not think for yourself?"

"I will always listen to Peter. He was there for me when my parents didn't want me, you of all people should understand that."

"Of course I do, but I didn't lose my way,"

Felix was about to say something else but something held onto my waist, making me twirl. Someone caught me before I could fall and I was met with Peter's face.

Felix smiles at us and just walks away from the scene wanting to give us privacy and I just push Peter off.

"Talking about me?" Peter asks with that stupid grin on him and I just look up at him.

"No," I say seeing that he could tell I was lying.

"We might need you at the tree house for the next few days..." He states and I stare at him in disbelief.

"Why? I won't be in the way this time please! Not again." I beg him, and he just smirks.

"You'll distract me," he puts a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Why do you need me gone?"

"I can't tell you that... This is confidential."

"Don't you think I have a right to know?"

"What are you leader now?" He asks me as we travel farther into the woods together.

"I should be," I remark, crossing my arms.

"Okay then face me," he throws a sword at me but I dodge it, not wanting to hold one, "oh come on! How can you be leader if you can't fight?"

"A good leader doesn't need to know how to fight. All they have to know is how to communicate with people," I advise him seeing him roll his eyes.

"Well, you aren't very good at that either, love."

"Hey! Yes, I am-" I was about to text my case until I realized just how far away we are from camp. I don't even know my way back, "this is a trick isn't it? Peter? Peter pan?"

"You caught on pretty quickly," he smirks, flying inches away from me.

"You're seriously leaving me alone?! And you're okay with that?" I shout at him, not believing this.
