General:
If you decide to give this story a chance, thank you and I hope that I do not disappoint you. This is a simple romantic tale of two opposite personalities, as the summary stated, and is set in the three-act format. The plot is nothing new but the pacing and characterisation is completely mine, so I am thrilled that you are willing to give this story a read. Further keeping in mind the fact that the plot is a much written one, all my chapter titles are that of English romantic movies, though the chapter is nothing like the movie the title belongs to. It was just fun to write it that way.
Now I am digressing, I am aware of it, but I cannot help mention, my writing efforts reminded me of a kaleidoscope that my father and I had made together, quite a long time ago, for my school project; nothing very fancy; just three slim narrow, rectangular mirrors, glue, gift wrapping paper, sticky tape and a few sparkly beads. The finished project was by no means great looking either. Today, neither my dad nor that kaleidoscope is with me, but what I cherish even to this day are the memories, of the time spent with my dad and how a few everyday things could be given such a colourful and alluring spin.
My attempt at this story is similar, I have taken inspiration from the scenes and dialogues I liked from a few stories and serials, added some from my imagination; they are the sparkly beads amidst the mirrors of my mind and twirled them around to present this story with varying colours and patterns. And if I can leave a few beautiful images for my readers, I guess it is worth the time we have spent, me in writing and my lovely readers in reading it.
So now coming back to this tale, I am quite apprehensive about posting it. And those who have read my earlier short story, Sweet Deals, would know what I mean when I say that this is a sweet story; it would be more sacchariferous than that tale and is literally dripping with treacle.
This is where I need your help; I, being the eternal optimist, will post the tale, but I would love to know if you guys would be interested in reading it. Do let me know, press the star button or better still, drop in a comment.
For however much, I delude myself that I write because I cannot stop myself and it should not matter if no one reads what I write; in truth, it is your comments that keep me going. There are times when I so adore the comments I get that I scroll up to confirm it is indeed about what I have written and I fall in love with my writing (I normally cringe when I read what I have written)
