I was a young girl at the time, shy, quiet, rich, beautiful, got everything I desired except, peace. My father, king Koro, was the leader of the assassins group, while sergeant Karasuma was in charge of the army. My father wanted peace with Asuno Gakuho for many years. But Asuno just kept fighting because he wanted me to marry his good-for-nothing son Gakushu Asuno. My father, being the fair man he was, told me I had a choice. I looked at Gakushu and saw right through his twisted smile, I told my father I didn't want to marry him.

I saw Asuno turn from calm to furious, while Gakushu's eyes went from lust to completely mad, Asuno tried striking my dad, but the guards came before he had the chance. When they left, my father asked me why I had said no, I said,

"because I don't want to be used as a sex slave, or a walking pile of money", I said my father was surprised by my words but soon got the hint and said,

"I won't force you to do anything you don't want to, remember that my princess", and with that, he left the room. I stayed up a little later than I usually do thinking about if I made the right choice or not. I couldn't stay up too long because apparently to my step-mother,' it's bad for my complexion'. I hate that lady she's so cruel, how could my father even fall for her, but I know why he fell for her it was her innocent act, I to fell for it until she started abusing me, it started off with just words, then it became physical. I tried telling my father, but she would always tell him it was just my imagination. My father agreed with her, but then started noticing bruises. I didn't want him to worry so I told him lies, he believed me and told me to be more careful. Oh, how I missed those days when I used to laugh with him, smile with him, and I even missed his warm bear hugs that felt like my bones were crushing. I missed it all. The day before he died, he had brought another boy in, this boy was interesting, he had crimson red hair, a strong build, and a rebel vibe. He looked my way after he introduced himself to my dad, smiled and said:

"Hi, I'm Karma Akabane and I will be your personal bodyguard." Those two words were enough to bring me back to reality

"Bodyguard" I repeated, all he did was nod his head slowly. Out of slight rage, I turned to my father and yelled

"WHAT!" My father slightly chuckled and said,

"Your bruises have been getting worse, I'm worried about you and want you to have proper care." He then mumbled something under his breath as he walked away, the only thing I caught was 'kids'. Confused and slightly still angry, I let it slide.
