When the man took me I really didn't know what was going on but I could sense a type of excitement in the air. By this time I really wanted to know what was going on and once again started meowing. The man didn't respond to me as the lady did but only laughed to himself. I was very thankful that he was carrying the thing very steady so I didn't slide around quite so much, but it was still hard to gain my balance.

When we stopped I smelled something musty and oily. The man then opened a door sat me down and closed the door with a big THUD that hurt my ears. Then he did a miracle, he opened up the thing that was keeping me locked in a cell of darkness and looked at me.

The man's face looked gentle and freshly shaven. He had kind bright blue eyes and his smile looked inviting. He said,

"Well hello there little Dinah!"

When he said that I didn't think he was talking to me because they always just called me little kitty, sweetie, cute little thing. So at first I didn't understand that my new family had decided to name me Dinah.

I decided to be really nice to the man since he had freed me and started purring and rubbing on his hand. He started petting me and scratching under my chin. I started purring even louder the man kept on scratching then he looked at something and said,

"Oh dear it is getting late, time to go Dinah."

I started to wonder who he was talking to, or what he meant when he said, ¨Dinah¨. But then it was cut short when he picked me up. Then he opened the top of the thing and and started to try to put me back into the darkness. So out of fear I started to kick at his hand with my back legs. He stopped moving me got a better grip onto me and started again. I couldn't move this time so I meowed out in protest. And as I was swallowed up into the dark thing I heard him say,

"Don't worry little Dinah, we will have you out of your carrier soon."

And that is when I found out that what I had been calling "the thing" was called a carrier.
