"So you mean to tell me that you've been living in London for a year now, and all you've done is get a crap job at a call centre?" Luke said trying to get his head around what I previously told him.

"Yup" I replied, taking a bite of my granola bar/ breakfast.

"Wow, and I though my life was interesting" He said, sighing.

"Well, tell me about your life" I answered taking a glance at my watch, which showed that we only had fifteen minutes left until my stop.

"How much time have we got?" Luke joked.

"Fifteen, so make it quick!" I said hurrying him.

"Okay so, it was just my mum and I as my dad died when I was young and my parents were divorced anyway, so I didn't really see much of him. When I was six my mum and I decided to move to England and start a new life here, as my mum hadn't got a great job in Australia. So we got our first apartment in the quiet part of London, and settled in quite quick. My mum got a job as a cleaner in a school which I would be attending. Everything was great I had friends especially my best friends Ashton and Niall. We still know eachother to this day. But one day my mum found out she had cancer and it was terminal. She didn't have long." Luke paused for a second and took a deep breath.

"So things got hard, she had to quit her job and we hadn't got much money, so the bills we're just piling up and up and at one point at thought about taking my own life, but I just couldn't. I couldn't leave my own Mum to die on her own. So I finally got my own job at the local chippy and brought back money home and we could pay some bills but just not enough. My mums cancer had gotten worse and she had to go into a hospice to die in peace. And she did." Again he paused.

I was taken back in shock of how much he had told me, when we literally just met.

"So, After my mum died I had nothing left. No home, no money, and no family. So I decided to save up all my money I got from my job at the chippy and by a little flat over a repair shop. It wasn't much but at least it was a roof over my head. But what I loved most is that my two best friends stayed with me the whole time. And here I am now" Luke finished. He looked down at his lap and began playing with his hands.

I was speechless. I couldn't believe my ears. We had just met. Why was he telling me all this?

"I think you win" I simply said, after a long time of thinking what to say.

"I think so too" He replied

"So where are you of to?" I asked trying to make a happier conversation.

"I have no idea" He answered.

"What do you mean?" I said, amused at his answer.

"I have no idea where I'm going, I just go wherever the wind takes me" Was his reply.

"Oh" I muttered. Again I checked my watch and saw my stop would be next.

"Well I'm next, so goodbye" I say, not knowing what to do.

"Oh, we'll let me give you my number so maybe we could hang out sometime.

We quickly exchanged numbers and I made it just in time for my stop. I was still so confused about the boy. I couldn't get my head around him. He was so carefree. Everything he's gone through he can still just smile for no reason.

There is something special about that boy.
