Thank the heavens above that the trains were working properly today.
I got up as normally and did my usual routine. I picked out a plain white blouse with plain black work trousers and a plain black blazer. My wardrobe is mainly full of plain black and white stuff.
I took a quick glance at my watch, and noticed I was running late. I quickly ran out of the house without checking if I had everything I needed for the day.
Again I called for a taxi to take me to the train station.
~~~
We arrived at the train station in gladly no time at all. I again thanked the taxi driver, payed him the money and exited the car.
No surprise the train station was fairly busy. It was full of people rushing to get to work without any hassle, and also people just strolling around minding their own business without a car in the world. Sadly I was one of those people rushing like mad to get to work.
Out in the corner of my eye I noticed a young boy helping an old lady who had just let all of her bags fall, and was panicking. The boy was very nicely picking them up, with the old lady standing beside me smiling. That really warmed my heart.
After seeing that lovely scene I quickly came back to reality and noticed once again I was running late. I quickly raced over the the ticket booth and asked for the 7:45 train to the nearest station to the call centre. I quickly payed for the ticket and hurried. I had enough time to run to the shop and buy a breakfast bar, because I skipped breakfast which I don't do very often.
I heard the my train pulling into the station, but I waited a few seconds for all the inpatient people who just push their way on to the train, without thinking of others.
Once it was safe I carefully placed my my foot on the train careful not to fall between the train and the platform and stepped inside.
The train was busy as usual. It again was filled with impatient people trying to get a seat. Luckily I got a seat right next to the window.
I sat down patting down my jacket as it got creased during all that racket.
A young boy sat down next to me when an older man got up and walked into the next section of the train.
As the train ride went on longer I started to look out the window of the busy city, but I could feel a pair of eyes staring at me from behind.
I quickly turned around to see the young boy who looked familiar for some reason.
"Can I help you?" I said rather angrily.
"No, not at all" He replied with a smirk.
"Well then I'd appreciate it if you could stop starring at me" I replied now getting frustrated.
"I'm sorry I just can't help it!" He answered shrugging his shoulders then sitting up in his chair. I know remember where I saw that boy. He was the same boy who helped the old lady pick up her bags that had fallen. I didn't know he was this pervy though...
"Perv" I muttered under my breath, not caring if he heard or not.
"So what's your name?" The boy asked after me turning around to the window again.
I rolled my eyes before turning around and answering his question.
"Camryn" I answered. God I hated my name. It's practically a boys name. I guess my mum wanted a boy instead.
"Oh" I began. "Well I'm Luke" He said putting his hand out for me to shake.
I paused for a second before putting my hand out also and shaking it.
"So where are you headed?" I said asking another question.
Well this is going to be a long journey.
