The smoke that burns my lungs and calms my mind.
Exhaling thoughts of you I'll leave behind.
The pain in my chest isn't what it used to be, even now that you aren't beside me.My heart clinches at the sight of your face. The things you said that made it race.
As the nicotine fills my lungs I get to forget you again.
