Tapu - (Human Bendystraw/Cendy)

Introduction/History

This short chaptered story follows the guidelines of the humanized versions of Cuphead (From Cuphead), and Bendy (From Bendy and the Ink Machine. For a while now I have fallen a victim for this strange ship, as I'm sure many of you have, and I wish to present it in this writing style.

The book is partly inspired by the amazing novel "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson. I absolutely fell in love with this amazing piece of gothic Victorian literature, even though I haven't finished the book yet lol, and I suggest you check it out if you haven't read/heard of it before. :3 Not to mention it's what i'm covering in my English class at school lol.

The reasons being it inspired by this book would be because of the Victorian setting, themes of Duality in a sense, and also the themes of mystery, horror and suspense. "Tapu" is a little side project for me to focus on aside from school as well as my main project "Monotone", of which is also Bendystraw inspired.... But straight? ... XD

sO yEAH, you can guess why it's set in the Victorian period and not the 1930's as I originally intended for it to be. But I guess this way it's a win win situation, It helps me to revise for my English Exam and helps me to chill with my hobby. <3

That being said it won't be as detailed as Monotone but it's just a little something to keep my author mind on while Monotone is gone for a little hiatus. (Yes I know I've barely started with that DX).

BUT, ....and it's a big butt... here's some short summaries on Cup's and Bend's characters.(Personalities and Looks will be described in the actual novel) =

Bendjamin Drew - (Spelt with d on purpose) =

Age: 13

Education: Home schooled by his Father, his 'most important' lessons would be in Dancing and Artistry. But all vital lessons apply also. He is studying for several different degrees, even at his age, and regardless if he wants to do them or not...

Featured Family: His father of course Dr Joey Drew, he is a respectable Surgeon of the time with many qualifications within science, medicine and also Artistry. But don't judge a drawing by its mistakes, right? His mother had long before passed...

Residence: He lives inside of the Drew manner, it's huge size makes him feel lost even in his own home. It may seem welcoming with its expressed riches but darker things lay upon the floor.

Jack 'Cups' Ceramick - (See what I did there aaaaay XD)

Age: 14

Education: Professional education is.. at a zero really, with practically no money there was no way to go to school let alone be privately tutored like Bendy. Although aside from the fact that he is practically illiterate he doesn't mind trying his best to learn. Not to mention his lessons of thievery he gives to his brother.

Featured Family: Of course, who could forget his own brother (Age 12), his names Arthur 'Mugs' Ceramick. Cups has no trouble in leading him along by a bad example. But if thievery is the skill you need to survive then you might as well teach it to your younger if he cared enough?

Residence: Any where that's available really, the risk of being caught and being sent to any orphanage is high but usually the local back-ends and run down buildings will do for the night.
