I walk down the corridor in search of my locker and first class when an arm is wrapped around my shoulder. I tense getting ready to punch who it belongs to till I remember where I am.

"Names Eric, your Cassandra right? Who am I kidding of course you are...." Quickly I cut him off.

"If you wanna keep your arm I suggest you get it off me." My tone is bored but he's quick to move it. I find my locker and open it quickly. I throw in my helmets slamming it shut again. Out of the corner of my eye I notice a group of five people staring at me and Eric.

"Sorry, got it no touching. What a your first class I'll help you?" The boy asks.

"I'll find my own way, you can leave now." I dismiss him watching the three boys smirk from the group. Surely they can't hear us, right?

"Right, see you later Cassandra." He's quick to walk away leaving me alone once more. It's probably best everyone stays away, that way they won't get too attached. I sigh and look at my time table and find I have art, I follow the map I was given and before I know it in stood at the door. I check my phone before slipping it away when I see nothing on the screen and walk through the door. I hand my slip to the teacher before finding a seat at the back of the room.

Once the bell rings everyone files in the room, most of the staring at me like I'm a lions prey. The teacher is quick to start her lesson but I don't hear any of it. I'm too busy making a mental list on what to do after school.
- pick Cara up.
- go and get the car.
- drive to a store.
- buy food.
- once Cara is asleep race to Port Angeles.

I notice a bronze haired boy staring at me like he can see what goes on in my mind but I shut that idea down as it's impossible. He nods his head before turning away and focusing on his book. I notice he's one of the boys from the group that was looking at me in the hall, I guess they all have a staring problem. As soon as the bell rings I grab my bag and exit the room quickly finding my second class, History. The second subject I love, the first being gym. When I arrive I find the class full save for one seat, I approach the teacher and hand her my slip.

"Oh miss Ryan welcome. Would you like to introduce yourself to the class?" She's preppy, I hate it.

"I'm good, take it the empty seat is mine." My tone is blunt which causes her to flinch a little.

"Of course, your history partner will be Mr Hale." She tells me but I'm already on my way to the empty seat next to the blonde from the hall.

"Jasper nice to meet you." He introduces himself to me.

"I'm sure." I zone out from him the second I sit down and keep my eyes and ears on the board. The board reads debate, Civil War.

"Okay so who's going to start off out debate today? Eric why don't you tell us your views on the Civil War." The teacher starts.

"Both parties were wrong to start it, I think the South could of done without it if I'm honest." He starts but stops when he looks around the room a blush rising on his cheeks.

"That's a lie." I state.

"Care to explain Cassandra?" The teacher asks.

"The Civil War started as a result of the long-standing controversery over slavery. Among the 34 states of the U.S in February 1861, Severn Southern slave states individually declared their succession from the U.S. tho form the Confederate States of America, or also know as the South. The confederacy grew to include eleven slave states. The states that remained loyal to the U.S. which also included the border states where slavery was legal were known as the Union or the North. They both quickly raised armies, both volunteer and conscription, both mostly in the South over four years. In the end the Union won, the Civil War claimed from 620,000 to 750,000 lives. But eventually slavery was abolished and four million slaves were freed. So no, I believe the war should of happened. Who knows, if I didn't, slavery might still be happening." I finish staring directly at the teacher. Everyone in the room is quiet but someone starts to clap, then the rest of the room joins in.

"Remeber what Cassanda has said everyone, it appears we have another history buff in class." The teacher smiles. "Now before the bell rings your home work. I want you all to write pros and cons on the Civil War, do not copy from the internet trust me I'll know. You all have two weeks to complete it." As she finishes the bell ring signalling next period. I leave after grabbing my slip heading towards the locker room to change from gym. Once I'm in my trackies, sports bra and crop hoodie I follow the group of girls from the room till we're standing on a field. A brunett girl comes to stand with me, he gaze going to the five people I saw in the hall.

"I'm Bella." She tells me shyly.

"Cassandra." I'm blunt, waiting for the coach to start.

"I'm still kind of new here as well, only started two weeks ago." She finally looks at me and smiles.

"What's the deal with them any way? They got a staring problem?" I ask her nodding towards the group.

"Their the Cullen's. All adopted. You've got the twins, Rosilne and Jasper Hale, their Mrs Cullen's niece and nephew. Then the little one is Alice and her boyfriend Harry, then Emmet the big one he's with Rosilne and lastly Edward." I look over at her only to find her eyes on them.

"If they keep staring at me I won't be responsible for my actions." I hiss through gritted teeth.

"You don't like people much do you?" She asks.

"Hate them. No offence." I shrug.

"I'm the same, would rather be alone." She laughs lightly before we both turn to the coach. Apparently were running, perfect.

"I love gym." I tell her as we start at a slow pace at the back of the group.

"I hate it. I'm accident prone." I laugh a little at her statement.

"No-one is accident prone Bella, it's in your mind. I always tell myself I can do something and I do it. You just need to do the same. Believe in yourself, not in anything else." I smile at her before pushing myself harder and bypassing the group of five and many more without breaking a sweat. I loose myself in my activity that towards the end I don't notice I'm the last one running until the coach blows the whistle. I stop and look at everyone panting and sweating on the ground, I walk towards Bella who stares at me in disbelief.

"How are you not a mess?" She asks wiping the sweat from her brow.

"Like I said, I tell my self I can do something and do it." I shrug.

"Wow, you've hardly broken a sweat." I shrug in response before we walk to the locker room and get changed.  "You wanna sit with us at lunch?" She asks as I sling my bag over my shoulder.

"It's alright, you sit with your friends, I'm sure I'll find an empty table, like you said. I hate people." I smile before leaving and heading towards the cafeteria.
