xiv. came back full circle

Probably one of the best chapters by far, if I am being honest. Omg, I just realized we have one chapter left. Wow it feels so weird to me about how fast the book has flown by me. If you all want a sequel, please say so! I am not too sure what the exact plot would be or much about it, though I have a slight idea. Anyway, just a warning there might be some triggers as I have some dark humour about suicide in a comparison. So that's just something to take note of when reading the chapter.

Royal Dustin had seen her life go out of control from the start to the finish. She started off as a vulnerable girl who had her demons, whilst then transforming into a badass rebel and over-edgy art girl, and now somewhere in the mix. She was still the same edgy art girl, and yet she kept some remnants of her past life as the vulnerable her. She was forced into the jail cell and was forced to battle her own self loathing thoughts with the chance of them overtaking her corpse of what she once was. She'd clearly just lost perspective.

A tear rolled down her cheek as she tried to decode where she went wrong in her path. Art made her feel happy, art made her feel accepted and welcomed, and yet now it turned her into a monster. She was responsable for the rape of Matt Monroe. She was responsable for the death of Cameron. It was all her fault. She had no one to blame for everyone else's sorrows but herself. It all came rushing back, all signs pointing at her. Art was her sanctuary, art was her safe haven, and it was her solace. Yet somehow, it managed to come back full circle as what caused her demise. Art made her feel happy, and no longer ignored, and yet it would be the death of her.

She looked down at the rocky metaphorically litho jail cell, as she had left her mark with the paint she'd used and thought about everyone. She ruined people's lives, and she was there for everyone when really it was her who was the problem. She caused all problems to the universe, and from there, her mental health problems spiraled out of control and she, as a human being, broke. She could no longer feel pain, no longer feel the dim lights, no longer see clearly and she had lost everything.

She felt bad, turned to art, and art brought her back. It felt so unsatisfying to her that she trusted her problems with the spray cans, and yet they blinded her. She was her own demon.

Chloe walked down the stairs, a smile on her face as she prepared herself for the days upcoming events. She walked over to the kitchen, and poured herself some cereal. "Want to watch the news?" Her aunt asked.

"Yeah." Chloe suggested, and she got to the tv and there, they saw Kiki Ingersoll once again.

"Hello, I'm Kiki Ingersoll, here to bring you the news on all the cities problems. In recent news, very recent news. Royal Dustin has been sentenced to 5 months in jail for the second-degree murder of the father of Chloe Rodgers." Chloe was surprised, and knew it was not a second degree murder. Second degree murders were intentional, but never planned. First degree murders were murders that were planned. Royal never had intent of bringing the grim reaper closer to her father, she just wanted to bring awareness to abuse and, more specifically, the abuse going on with the Rodgers family.

Chloe gulped, and jumped from the couch. "I have to go visit my friend." Chloe said, before getting up.

Amber walked out of the washroom. "You're friends with that girl? Why? Why would you spend your time with a girl who killed our father!"

"Father abused me, and she knew about it. All she wanted to do was to bring awareness to the abuse going on in our household, and she never had the intent of death. My god, she must be feeling horrible right now. I need to see her, and no one is stopping me!" Chloe yelled, before racing off to make sure her family had no way of saying no as it would have been too late.
