Y/N was feeling frustrated. "Stiles, I can date Aiden if I want to." Stiles groans and flails his arms dramatically, getting a few people to look at them weirdly.

"His bad, Y/N! A no, no! He's in a pack of alphas who are killing people!" Y/N puffs up her cheeks, glaring at him.

"He doesn't enjoy it anymore! I've talked to him a couple of times and he's really sweet. Just give him a chance--."

"Why would I give a chance to someone who tried killing my friends?" Stiles exaggerates his words, looking at her stupidly. Y/N looks away. "I can't believe you. This is such a Y/N thing for you to do." Her gaze snaps back to him.

"Excuse me?" Y/N tilts her head. She crosses her arms, narrowing her eyes at him. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"

"It means you're being an idiot for trusting the enemy. You just trust anyone who bats their eyelashes and says please. God! I swear, you're worse than Scott." Stiles shakes his head. Hurt flashes across Y/N's face. "Wait, shit, Y/N. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so--."

Y/N doesn't give him a chance. She quickly walked down the hall, leaving him alone. Stiles opens her mouth to call after her but stops himself, sighing. "Hey. What was that just now? I can literally smell Y/N's emotions from across the school and it's not very positive." Scott comments, putting a hand on his shoulder.

He quickly shrugs it off, still sulking. "I messed up. Big time." Stiles quickly explains what happened. Scott winces, his face scrunching up. "Yeah, exactly."

"I didn't know she liked Aiden.... Actually, I don't think anyone knows they're dating." Stiles eyes widen. If no one else knew, that means Stiles was the first person she told. That also means she must have been a nervous wreck all morning, trying to build up the courage to tell him, only for him to shout at her.

"Oh, my god, I'm such an idiot." He grumbles, repeatedly hitting his head against the lockers. Scott looks at him with pity and smiles softly.

"Don't worry. You guys are inseparable. I'm sure things will work out fine." Stiles nods, the both of them walking to class.

That turned out to be more or less true. For a full week, Y/N hadn't talked to him once. In fact, she hadn't talked to anyone, and Lydia would always look at her with guilt. Stiles wasn't any better. His best friend was obviously in trouble, but every time he tried talking to her, she would immediately make up an excuse or just walk away.

One day, when Stiles was driving home, there was a sudden rainstorm. He silently sits in his car, looking around when he suddenly sees a familiar mop of hair walk into the woods. Stiles narrows his eyes and immediately changes direction.

He quickly parks his car and rushes out, jogging into the woods. He hears crying and his jog turns into a sprint, slowly getting closer.

Stiles quickly comes to a halt in a clearing, Y/N sitting on a tree stump with her face buried in her hands. Her shoulder shook as she sobbed, breaking Stile's heart. "Y/N?" He whispers.

Y/N's head snaps up, her teary eyes widening in surprise. "Stiles?" She hiccups, quickly wiping her face. It didn't matter. The rain has soaked both of them by now and Stiles couldn't tell the difference between her tears and natural weather.

"You're crying." It wasn't a questions. Y/N stands, averting her gaze to her shoes. Stiles slowly walks closer.

"I'm fine. I wasn't crying, I got--." Stiles wraps his arms around her shoulder into a tight hug, his nose nuzzled into the crook of her neck.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." Y/N's eyes water again. She wraps her arms around his torso, gripping onto his shirt as she cried against his shoulder. Stiles gently caresses her wet hair, whispering sweet nonsense into her ear as he tried comforting her.

"He cheated on me with Lydia." Y/N confesses, shocking him. "Lydia didn't know we were together and felt awful, but he knew. He knew and I--." Y/N chokes on a cry, holding him tighter.

"Shh. Come on. I'll drive you to my place. You're freezing up." He whispers, guiding her to his car. He immediately cranks up the heat once she seated, but it didn't matter. Stiles sped to his house, making there in record time. His dad was working a late shift, so he didn't worry about him asking Y/N too many questions.

Y/N took a shower and changed into a pair of pjs, having her own little section in his closet from spending the night so much. It was basically his second home. Stiles took a shower next before joining her on the couch, wearing a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants.

"Alright, go ahead. Don't push yourself, I'll wait." Stiles reassures, grabbing her hand and rubbing gentle circles.

"I found out two days after our argument. I guess you were right, about him being evil and everything. I found him and Lydia making out in the locker room. Allison was trying to find Scott so we went there. I already forgave Lydia, but she still feels guilty. Aiden tries to apologize, but I haven't been talking to him."

Y/N looks up at him sadly, her eyes burning with tears again. "I'm sorry for ignoring you. I just.... I couldn't handle you rubbing it in my face that you were right."

"Hey, hey, no. I would never do that." Stiles quickly pulls her into a hug. Y/N sighs, relaxing into his hold. "You're safe now. Aiden is an idiot. For now on, I'll listen to your decision and not blow up at you." Y/N smiles softly, hugging him back.

"Thank you." Finally, she had her best friend back.

Stiles pulls back and smiles. "Good. Now, let's get drunk and forget about that douchebag, yeah?" Y/N's smiles widens as she nods.
