The ride to the mall was quiet. For Holly, though, it was just awkward and irritating. Neither of them said a word. The only sounds heard in the car were emitting faintly from the radio. Holly could hear Andrew humming along with the over played songs every now and then. The humming was getting on her nerves along with the heat making her arms and thighs stick to the upholstery. Heavy cleaning fumes from the cleaning products Andrew uses to keep his precious car spotless, singes Holly's nose making her eyes start to water.

It was like she was in the dentist's office, sitting on the plastic covered chair. All of her showing skin feeling as if it were adhered to the plastic from the warmth of her flesh. The smell of the sterile area burned her nose leaving a chemical scent that tugged at her to make a tear escape the rim of her eye. Thinking she may be in Hell, her attention was brought back to that annoying humming. It just keep hammering at her and soon the rhythms fused together in to a searing high pitched squeal. The sound of the drill ate at her, making her teeth already feel the pain of the metal scrapping and grinding in to the center of her teeth. The pain shot through the roots into her jaw; a scream so chilling begging to come out, but not a single sound would leave her lips.

The pain and adrenalin rush washed over her, almost making her gasp in relief at getting away from her own imagination. Trying to steady her breathing, her mind came back to what was going on. She was in Andrew's car, not in a dentist's office in a chair of pure torture. Once Holly's breathing was normal she leaned back in to the leather seat, her skin pulling in resistance like it was glued down. Turning her head to look out the window, Holly kept reminding herself she was safe, as safe as it got with Andrew, but safe nonetheless.

Her imagination has caused many vivid images to haunter her dreams, and even during the day. Doctors and her mother would always say the same thing. "You have an over imaginative mind, and there is nothing to be worried about." Holly had always argued that there might be something more, but soon gave up after hearing the same reply over and over. Watching houses, streets, trees, people, and everything in between pass by, she felt alone again in this new world. It wasn't just the fact that she was new, but also she knew there was something that was wrong with her, she knew and felt she'd never fit in anywhere.

Pushing her thoughts away, she came back to reality. She could feel Andrew glancing at her out of the corner of his eye periodically. Sighing in frustration, Holly starts tapping her foot impatiently. The vibrations from her leg bouncing coursed through the car, making it easy for Andrew to know how bad she wanted to get away from him. A smirk growing on his lips at the thought of how easy it is to get under Holly's skin.

"Look, I know you don't want to be around me, but you don't have to actually show how much you want to get away from me." Holly could hear the humor in his voice, and didn't have to look to know he had his triumphant smirk on. She knew he was pleased with himself at the effect he had on her. It boiled her anger even more to know he found it so amusing that he could make her squirm with just his presence.

Ignoring his words, Holly thought of how much she actually did want to get away from him right now. She couldn't wait to get out of his car, it was her own personal hell. Feeling the car start to slow, Holly glanced up to find they were pulling into the mall's parking lot. Her body seemed to relax at the site, a smile gleaming on her face. Barely a second later, she was already reaching to unbuckle her seatbelt. As the car was coming to a stop at the front entrance, Holly grabbed the handle and was about to jump out the car, even though it was still moving. Just as she was about to step out, Andrew grabbed her wrist and yanked her back in the car.

"Ouch! What the hell?" Holly turned and hollered at him. The anger on Holly's face quickly vanishes when she sees the furious look glooming over Andrew's features. Holly's natural reaction is to back away from him, as fear covers every inch of her body. Backing up, her back hits the door, allowing her to not go any farther. Even if the door wasn't there, she doubts she could get away, his hand is still wrapped tightly around her wrist. Her pulse fills her ears over the uncomfortable silence between them, sounding like the ticking of a clock making it seem as though the seconds were hours.
