Dear Family,

This literary work was written over the course of two years. The original intention was to use this platform as an emotional release, a "thought deposit", a window to the soul, concerning a certain aspect of the life of the author, and an attempt to encapsulate and articulate the workings of the author's mind in the form of a literary account; accordingly, some of these words were not originally written to be read. Extra information, enclosed by parentheses, is prolific especially in The Early Years chapter, and can get excessively long (sorry), however, the whole sentence can still be coherently understood by reading the clauses before and after the parentheses. Names in this book have been shortened to initials in order that the identification of people who have been mentioned is more prevalently achieved by family members as opposed to anyone else. The ideas, concepts and opinions to be addressed are not necessarily presently held by the author, Z, and may have developed or changed throughout the aforementioned time span, and will continue to do so. If possible and desired, once one has begun to read this, it is strongly encouraged that they read all sections and to the end, so this work can be judged in its entirety to avoid miscommunication or misunderstanding. Hypothetically, if one were to find this whole thing too long and only wishes to read a part of it, the author hypothetically recommends reading Peter Pan and the Epilogue, if nothing else, (and maybe just add in A Sour Taste and I'm *That* Person and So What Now bc why not, though you can skip some parts of The Early Years - tad cringey and boring.) as these basically and hypothetically give the reader a taste of the Z Experience. Nonetheless, the author still strongly implores that the reader reads everything once they have started, and this, she does not mean hypothetically. This is merely a representation of certain thoughts and experiences from the author's life, discussed in 7 chapters, which were not written in chronological order. Therefore, some ideas, ages, times and dates may be mixed, confusing and/or contradicting, but all blend together as and formulate one big mesh of feelings from an adolescent teen who still has many more lessons yet to learn in life. Though the utmost care has been taken to ensure facts, events and references to the past were confirmed with reliable sources, said sources were all either human, and/or written or produced by humans, and humans do not have perfect memory. Nothing in this book was designed to cause any offense, however, should any part of this work be insensitive, cause any inconvenience, damage or discourtesy, the author offers her deepest apologies and assures the reader that these were never her intentions. Criticism, comment and correction are welcomed and encouraged, as are discussion, friendly debate and productive conversation (preferably after you have read everything).

also, aghhh there's so much more to say that didn't make it to this book...reading over it is pretty underwhelming...words on a page no longer seem as powerful as when they were thoughts in my head. Enjoy anyway. And get ready to read 14,000 words about none other than me, myself and I.
