**Don't worry things will pick up towards the end of this chapter
**And I'll make note to keep my chapters shorter;)
It was late Thursday afternoon and we had just returned from brunch with the whole family. My cheeks were still sore and rosy from giggling so much at the brunch. It was great being able to see everyone again. And this time not under the circumstances of ill health. The brunch was held in uncle Jesse's massive patio and almost everyone was there. All of moms sisters, family friends and cousins. It was nice to be among a crowd and laugh freely without the impending fear of my heart giving up on me.
"No Sofia, you're doing it wrong! Livy look," Chloe whines pointing over at Sofia, who was grinning as she dipped her paint brush into every single pot of paint on the table, muddling up the colors much to Chloe's dismay.
I chuckle at her excited expression as she ignores Chloe who looks like she's about to flip the table. "Sofia, I think we should go for one color at a time, so we don't get them all so mixed up," I try to coax gently, taking her paintbrush to the sink to wash.
"Now she's ruined all the paints Livy!" Chloe continues frustrated.
She took her art very very seriously, which was no surprise since she was exceptionally gifted at it.
"It's okay Chloe, I'll get you your own new pots of colors," I say appeasing her as I return Sofia's brush and head towards the supply room in the kitchen to fetch them.
Gran stocked up on a shitload of art and crafts supplies knowing how much Chloe enjoyed it.
"There we go," I carefully place her equipment on the table.
"No touching Sofia Lynette!" Chloe warns with an amusing stern eye pointed at Sofia, who's has since commenced mixing up all her colors again.
"Look Liv Liv, I'm making a pretty butterfly," I grin at her nickname, she has always called me Liv Liv even when she learned to pronounce my name properly.
"Oh my god Sofia Lynette!"I gasp in exaggerated amusement at her messy array of colors on the page, "That's about the prettiest butterfly I've ever seen."
She grins looking mighty proud of herself, It's extremely adorable, "Why thank you very much," she nods primly before commencing her art again.
Chloe Ann rolls her eyes, muttering under her breath "kids."
I laugh because she's still very much a kid herself.
God I love my sisters, however bad the weather they never fail to put a smile on my face.
"Livy," mom calls from the door "Come out here for a sec. We wanna show you something."
I trail after her completely oblivious and confused as to what she has to show me that could be sitting outside. Regardless I continue following her, as her heels click on the long elegant and marbled hall way. We meet Grans beaming face at the front door as she gestures for me to go outside.
"You guys know how much I hate surprises-" my voice literally trails off at the breathtaking sight before me. Judging by the giggles of the girls who must have followed us out and Gran and moms snickering, I probably look as flabbergasted as I feel right now.
God please go easy on this brand new fragile heart of my mine, cause I felt like it was about to combust, spill out of my chest and make a runaway.
Before me wrapped in a cheesy red bow was a brand new sleek white Jaguar XJ, my dream car.It was so shiny, I could've sworn it winked at me.
Time suddenly starts back up again and I let out a high pitched squeak, jumping in joy.
