"What about this one?"Mom asks for the eleventh time this Saturday evening, running back out of her closet with a purple shift dress.

I shook my head and groaned, while Gran sighed.

"What was wrong with the turquoise one Tasmen?" Gran asks, the poor woman is oblivious.

"It made me look too bloated mom," she practically whines like Sophia.

Note to self; even flawless women like my mother had insecurities.

"Who wants to make cookies?" I direct my question at Chloe and Sofia who were both rolling on the floor like dogs.

"Me!" they both squeal simultaneously, jumping up.

We're just about to turn and head for the door when Gran clears her throat.

"Actually girls, I had other plans for us tonight if that's okay? The cookies can wait till we get back."

I raise an eyebrow, "Sure I guess, but what kind of plans?"

She winks, rising from the bed, "It's a surprise."

Sofia begins clapping her hands together, "Oh oh, I love surprises Gran!"

"I know you do sweetheart.Come on."

She herds us out the door as Mom continues her mini crisis.

"Can I drive?" I ask Gran, as we descend the stairs.

"Of course. You know I feel like I have my own personal chauffeur these days."

I giggle, anything to ease the weight off her shoulders.

We hang around in the kitchen snacking till Mom finally comes down, fully dressed thankfully.

She's been fussing all week, because she has a dinner date with, drum roll please...ZACH!

Things seem to be heating up between them as they've constantly texted back and forth all week.

But she refuses to divulge anymore information than she already has, other than when It's time for us to meet him we will.

"How do I look?" she asks doing a little twirl as we all cheer ravenously, and shout out compliments all at once.

She finally settled on a nice red v-neck and knee length dress, that had a belt under the bust accentuating her slightly exposed cleavage.

Her black heels were six inches high and made her golden legs look like they could go on for days.

Her makeup was limited but flawless and she had her golden hair in a tight bun, atop her head. She really did look stunning.

Just then a honk sounded from outside and she scurried to the door bidding us farewell.

Soon after we made our way to my car and I followed as Gran spouted instructions to where we were going.

The whole drive my mind was on Colton.

After that day at Pete's he hadn't said one word to me, for the rest of the week he just ignored me, but I guess I hadn't attempted to speak to him either.

I would occasionally catch his baby blues watching me but as soon as I caught on he'd turn away and continue speaking to whoever he was speaking to.

Sierra had stopped coming around to their lunch table but I would see her from time to time and each time she'd give me the stink eye, or whisper something about me to her friends and they'd all snicker. I shrugged it off, it was all very Mean Girls ish and I was so over that stuff.

I wanted people at this school to like me but I wasn't gonna lose my dignity over it.

What unnerved me the most was my reaction on Thursday.

Lunch had proceeded as usual, but then this gorgeous brunette struts over and plants herself right next to Colton and he didn't even send her off, he flirted with her.

There was this ice cold feeling slithering it's way to my chest that I soon recognized was jealousy.

It was the most foreign emotion ever to me, sure I've been jealous before but it was always over something petty never a guy.

The whole thing was just screwing with my head and I hated it, I hated not knowing where we stood, I hated being unsure.

Because even though I was still processing this myself I think I was developing feelings for the guy, even after only knowing him a few days..

I'd only been in Santa Monica for two weeks and my life was already turning into one I didn't recognize anymore.

What was happening to me?Who was this girl I was becoming?

I didn't know anymore, but I guess I would figure it out soon enough.

I'd had enough pondering for now cause soon enough we pulled up to our final destination.

I turn to Gran, "No way!Really!?" I squealed when she nodded in response smiling.

Chloe gasps in excited shock as she realizes where we were.

"Where is this place?"Sofia asks still oblivious.

"It's a dog adoption center Sofia!" Chloe grins quickly existing the car.

"Really? Are we getting a doggy Gran?" her expression was heart melting, even if Gran wanted to backtrack she couldn't now, not after that award winning face    Sofia just displayed.

We make our way into the place and the process is quite fast.

We instantly fall in love with this gorgeous Siberian Husky Puppy, all the poor girl had to do was blink her pretty blue eyes and she got stuck with us for life.

She was just a tiny two and a half month old.

We leave the naming to Sofia and she instantly calls her Angel.

"Why?" Gran asks her.

She grins sheepishly,"Because she's white, happy and smart! Just like an angel."

It seriously couldn't get much better than that, we all immediately took to the name as did Angel herself cause she barked softly when she heard it.

We were soon on our way back home, this time with a bunch of dog supplies and a dog itself, sat comfortably in my back seat in between my sisters who wouldn't stop fussing over her.

Boy, this was gonna be fun.
