Today was a day off from skating finally. I decided to just chill in my house all day and listen to (f/b) and watch my favorite movies and tv shows. All of a sudden I got a text from Victor. I glanced at my phone and then went back to watching my tv show. My phone started blowing up with texts and I couldn't take it anymore. I went to my room and put my phone on my bed. I really didn't want to text anyone right now. I just wanted to relax. The doorbell rang and I decided to actually go answer it. It was (b/f). She smiled at me and waved.

"What are you doing here (b/f)? Today is my day off and I just want to relax." I told her pointing back at the couch. She nodded, "I know you just want to relax today which is why I decided to get us a nail appointment." She waved her car keys in front of me trying to lure me in to going with her. I shook my head at her and her expression changed from happy to sad. Then her face lit up. She had an idea and I knew it. "The seats are heated and have a massage setting..." She told me. I let her in as I went up to my room to change. When I came back downstairs, I made sure to grab my phone in case I needed it.

At the nail salon we went to, we got to pick out our nail polish colors and the designs for nails was 75% on sale so today was a great day to come. We had a nice lady with brunet colored hair and brown eyes do our nails. She was pretty good and we ended up giving her a good tip. We were in the middle of the appointment when I got a text from Victor. It said to meet him at the beautiful water fountain that was in the middle of town by the mall. I told him I was in the middle of a nail appointment with (b/f) and he said to meet him there after it. The appointment was over and I told (b/f) I had to meet Victor somewhere and she could come with if she wanted to.

"I would like to but I actually have to help my mom with moving still. She probably still hasn't gotten that much progress done so far even though she has her 5 kids to help her. To be honest, they just play on their electronics and don't do anything. See you later (y/n)!" She gave me a hug goodbye and off we went our separate ways. I met Victor at the water fountain just like he said. He was holding a bouquet of my (f/f). I walked up to him and gave him a hug. He handed me the flowers and I thanked him. "Happy 3 month anniversary!" He told me happily, smiling at me. I gave him a another hug, "Awwwww thanks Victor!" I opened the card that was in the flowers. It said how I was the best girlfriend and how he was so proud of me at all the competitions I went to so far.

We looked each other in the eyes and he leaned in and kissed me on the lips. This was our first ever kiss! I can't believe this is actually happening! He actually really loves me. And I love him too. He took my hand in his and we went on a walk through a flower garden. All of a sudden it started to snow. I held out my hand a snow flake softly landed on it, soon melting away afterwards. I giggled, running around catching snowflakes in my hands. Snow flakes started to cover my (h/c) colored hair.

I started to get cold. Victor noticed and took his jacket off, putting it over me. I smiled at him, "It has never snowed here before so this is unusual but fun to catch the snowflakes in my hands. It's just do beautiful out here. I wish I could skate out here." I told him. He smiled back and grabbed my wrist. "Where are you taking me Victor?" I asked him giggling as he pulled me across the mall grounds to somewhere I didn't know of. He stopped and faced me, "You said you wanted to skate outside, so that's what we are going to do." He told me happily. We were headed in the direction of the nearest store.

We went into the store and went back to the outside toys area. "What are we doing?" I asked him looking at the shelves full of toys made for outside. "You said you wanted to skate outside but since here we don't have an outside skating rink, why not get you some roller skates?" He told me. I smiled at his gesture. I picked out (f/c) roller skates and a helmet. We purchased them and then went back to my house to try them out. I got it on my first try. "This is so much fun! Thanks so much Victor." I told him. He grabbed me by the waist and put his fingers under my chin. He pulled me into a kiss.

His lips were so soft. The outside was so cold and he was so warm for some reason. After a while of skating, we decided to go back inside and watch a movie. Today was amazing. I couldn't wait for my next day off of skating. Yeah skating was my life, but everyone needs a break from something they love for a day or two.

The Next Day
~
This morning was not going how I planned. My mom was flying back today just for me. She was supposed to stay for another month on her trip but ever since my dad left and something went wrong with me, she would come back. I told her I was fine, but I really wasn't. I woke up this morning with a fever. Yeah I'm sick and you don't think it would be that bad because I'm 24 years old and I'm able to take care of myself and stuff. But because of me having bone cancer and Osteoporosis, when I get sick, it's like I can't even move because I'm so weak. This time it was even worse because I was skating much more and after all my hard work, my body needed a rest. I don't like to rest when I am determined to do something. I only rest after all the hard work is done. In this case, the hard work wasn't done until the Grand Prix finals was over.

My mom came home around 11:00 this morning. I woke up at 9. Today I was supposed to go back to practicing for another competition that was held next weekend but obviously I am not supposed to. Before my mom came home, I checked my temperature. It went down and I didn't have a high temperature anymore. I grabbed my bags and headed off to the rink to practice that I intended to today. Victor and Yuri were not planning on coming today so I had the rink to myself. When I showed up, Yuko said she wanted to see me skate a little so I let her.

She was cheering me on the entire time. I was in the middle of my performance for her when I fell to the ground. I slid across the ice and everything went black. I heard Yuko running towards me but I didn't see her anywhere. When I woke up, I was laying in my bed in my room with my mom beside me. She asked me if I was okay and I told her I felt fine. I got up and fell back to the ground. She helped me up and put me back under my covers in my bed. "You are not okay (y/n). If you are still like this tomorrow, we are going to the hospital." She told me worriedly. I nodded my head. I knew I shouldn't have gone out onto the ice.

At least when I hit the side of the glass I didn't hurt my arm more. That was the only good thing about this situation. My mom got up to leave when I grabbed her wrist. She turned towards me, "Please mom, don't tell Victor or Yuri about this. They will worry when they don't need to." She nodded at me and then gave me a kiss on the forehead. I waited around all day for tomorrow to come. I just wanted to feel better but I couldn't go anywhere so my mom had to bring me everything. Whenever I got sick like this, she was always still so nice to me. She was patient. To be honest, if I had to take care of me, I wouldn't be patient at all. I would probably explode.

The next day came and I woke up in my hospital room. I came to the hospital quite often so I had my own room. Apparently my temperature had raised to 103.6 so my mom immediately took me in to the hospital. My phone was next to me which had a text from my mom. She said she went to run some errands and will be back by nighttime. She also said I had my favorite nurse ever to take care of me. That made my day. Most of the nurses here were nice but I only had 1 favorite and her name was Violet. She was just amazing and even got me ice cream from the cafeteria to bring my fever down. I was watching a video on YouTube when I saw a text from Victor asking where I was.

I took a picture of my medicine poll with medicine bags on it and sent it to him. He probably thought I was in treatment right now but I really wasn't. He asked me if I was in treatment and I told him no. He sent me 😢 and told me to get better as fast as possible. I was surprised he didn't ask me why I was at the hospital though. My nurse came into my room with my doctor and mom. I gave my mom and nurse a hug and they all took a seat in different chairs. My doctor pulled out my paper work and turned to me and my mom.

He looked at us like he had some sad news. "(Y/n) I'm sorry but if your condition gets any worse, we are going to have to put you in a medically induced coma and give you treatment that way. If that doesn't work, then we will have to go straight to surgery." I began to feel the tears come to my eyes. I held them back to show I was brave. I looked over at my mom. She was crying. That's when I knew it was okay to cry.

That's when I knew this was really bad.
